I’m now going to shamelessly ask for your support of Segy’s walk. For those of you who don’t know, Segsy is my sister. She has Crohn’s Disease. And let me tell you, it is no walk in the park (haha pun intended).

In 2006 my husband and I raised more than $4,000 for our 3 day 210 mile bike ride. But I learned I am not meant to ride that much. It was the most difficult challenge I have ever taken on. But it is nothing compared with what I have seen my sister endure.

Not only has she endured, thanks to new treatments, she has thrived. She even has a beautiful 4 year old son to prove it!

Last year, I ran the 5K. That was more my kind of suffering. It’s over in 37 minutes or so.

So I hope you will read her story and donate to her walk. She is close to her goal. Just $585!

Anyone who knows me (including my subscribers) knows that I always strive to make a difference in the world and this is no exception. So I’m asking you to be a part of making that happen.

I have 48 subscribers (wow). I know some of you have already given. But if just 30 of you could donate just $20, we would blow that goal away. But even $5 adds up.

So please, support my sister and you’ll be supporting support groups, education and research to find a cure.

Having completed my taxes for 2007, I was reminded of this goal because I utilized the donations I made last year toward my taxes this year.

This cause is more than just a tax write-off for me though. Besides being friends with Segsy, I also have been around Crohn’s and Colitis my whole life. All of my father’s sisters have colitis, and I myself have gone through bouts of irritible bowel which is a much lesser form of the disease.

Segsy is more than half-way to her goal, and if each of my subscribers would donate just $5 she would surpass her goal. All you need to do is click here and select Shari from the team drop down box in the center of the screen towards the top.

Looking pretty good with just less than two months away.
