Do 43 random acts of kindness in 2008.

I’m sure I reached 43, though, even with little things like making the elevator doors open for people instead of making them wait for the next one. Today, I gave two full bags of cat food to charity instead of taking them back to the store for a refund (my cat had to change his diet). My favorite thing was paying for the person behind me in the drive through.

I sent a student home today, after her wisdom teeth extraction had left her with more pain than she anticipated. Trying to be a good role model of moderating work with respect for your own life.

Trying to help an undergrad find some scholarship money…

I gave little kids “pony” rides at our employee party this weekend.

I kept M’s little girl overnight so she could get some well-deserved fun in her weekend.

I made a small donation to a local literacy project today.

for a client with something I really didn’t have to do, but wanted her to have an opportunity she otherwise wouldn’t have had.

I gave some of my neighbors some soft drinks I had bought for myself. Since being very sick earlier in the week, I don’t like them any more, so they don’t go to waste now. :)

to a thing normally reserved for grad students. I’m hoping some really do come!
