There it is, Graduation in May, and also the reality that this masters degree cost me 15,000 and did not allow me to work for over a year.
As im making plans for my life, and my partners, i really need this debt to be cleared. I admit also that i lived well, and didnt exactly spare expenses. I could have been wiser about this money that was not mine. The masters was so hard and time consuming, it felt like prison, and when i did get a chance to go to dinner, or buy something, i sure did. I deserved it, but now i have to pay for it!
What a bummer of a reality. Its so shameful to me to have loans, at least without a clear plan and deadline to pay them back! I need to get on that… 2 months ago

Yesterday I took a big step and paid of the remainder of my undergraduate student loan in it’s entirety. I graduated 11 years ago, so it was time to go, and I felt like I was paying too much in interest. I’m still working on my car loan and graduate school student loan, but at least on is down. 22 months ago

I just mailed a check to pay off the the remainder of my credit card balance. I’m trying to be really frugal now. Am I too optimistic to want to be completely debt free by the end of 2011? 23 months ago

Right now I don’t have many loans but I know I’m only going to get more as college and grad school continue! I want to pay 70% of them off by the time I get my last degree. 3 years ago

After 11 years I have my student loan (24,000) half paid-off. My credit cards keep fluctuating between zero and 6,000. I just feel like if I could get this off my chest, I would breathe a world easier. 3 years ago

i only have 10Gs right now in loans. took me 3 years to bring it from 13Gs to 10 BUT i had to take care of myself so I couldn’t necessarily focus on it much. Now I’m in grad school so I[m adding 20Gs to the 10 and hopefully in my second year I’ll get a scholarship. sigh 3 years ago

I would love to pay off my student loans early so I can start saving for other things like getting my own place or buying a new car (also on my goals list!) I am trying to save as much as I can right now, but it is hard with other bills and the holidays coming up. But by putting a little aside each week, I should hopefully be able to pay them off within a year! 4 years ago

I paid off the loan I took out in order to move into my own place a year ago. I actually had the resolve to make extra payments and paid it off several months in advance. My car loan will be paid off in two months. At that point, I’ll probably take out another loan to cleanse myself of credit card debt. I see myself debt free by the end of 2009. Here’s to hoping. 4 years ago
