Sacristia Embracing Life and shining forth the love!
When I was younger, I lived for adventure and thought it was so exicting to watch a movie where kids just like you and me were off having this awesome adventure. I wanted to be caught up in the turmoil and adverture that the Goonies went through, wondering maybe how my group of friends and I would have turned out.
You can say that Goonies was the first small taste of the “Pirates of the Caribbean”

The week may be over, but the 80s film love will forever remain strong. I like the Bill & Ted avatar so much, I think I’m going to keep it for a little while longer.

Kat is looking forward to exciting adventures in 2009!
Today is the 1st of December, and sadly, the week has come to a close. It was a fun week. Thanks to all those who got involved. Though, I know for some people they still have more time to go because they are on a different timezone, but for me, it is time to let this one go. From Ferris, to the breakfast club, st. elmo’s fire and the always fantastic Back to the Future, this has been an interesting week as we remembered the decade that may have had the worst fashion, but, had the most excellent movies.

Sacristia Embracing Life and shining forth the love!
I am soooooo goonies. I loved that movie and still love that movie!! It was the way I saw the world and how exciting it was for me growing up in the 80’s. I have to say that I am a bit disappointed because growing up in the 80’s, I never expected my world and my society to be that way it now, filled with so much hatred, children having children, and lonely lost people just losing in public places with guns. I guess I am a bit disappointed because in the 80’s, I was not aware of all the evils and the unpleasantries in life. I was just a simple child enjoying the simple things in life.
Still, I am a goonie at heart and always have been. When I was younger, I tried starting a Goonie club with my friends, but it never really went any where, along with my Hobbit club and other hairbrained ideas I had as a child.
Goonies rule! One of the best parts of the 80’s

I saw this goal and had to join in, so many of my favorite movies came out during the ‘80s. The Princess Bride, Indiana Jones ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade, Return of the jedi, Back to the Future, This is Spinal Tap, ET, Ferris Buller’s Day Off, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, The Breakfast Club, The Goonies… all movies I can watch again and again and again!
