It was a lot of fun meeting everyone who came to the luncheon, and the setting was fun too. I would definitely do it again, but I feel bad because I didn’t get as much time talking to some of the people at the other end of the table.
I’m wondering though if I need to be worried about getting a ticket in the mail. As I left these two meter maids were typing things into their handheld behind my car. They didn’t approach me or try to stop me, and I don’t have a ticket in my hand to pay, so do I need to find out if there’s going to be one coming in the mail or on record?
Still, lots of fun and great meeting everyone. Special thanks to SEGSID for putting this together and to JudithKD for the cow.

Great to meet people, learn about Moleskines, discuss feral cats, marvel at Amy and Moe’s sweet quiet kids (despite the monster mash), wave at Judith and her husband, tell Diane David Sedaris stories, discuss more cats with Mary, take a picture of Todd, get dusted by that waitress…oh, there’s more, but I’m tired..

I’ve been to two of the 43T meetups and both times I met wonderful people for good conversation… We should definitely do it again!

JudithKD I had a goal to get rid of 4018 things this year and I did! jkd
poor thing. But it got me to NYC, and I really don’t think I would have gone otherwise.
Also, we decided on the train between New Haven and NYC that we really like travelling that way and will do more of it.
Finally, neither of us could remember when we took even two days off like this, just to do things for fun, rather than tying it to work, family events, someone else’s needs, etc. So, it was as close to a vacation as we’ve had for over 10 years!

I’m starting my journey tonight after I’m done with work. Can’t wait to get there and meet my fellow 43Thingers. This will be the first time I’ve met any in person besides Rufus The Gnome.
So the restaurant opens at noon on Saturday which is the time we agreed to meet. I guess we’ll just identify each other because we’ll be standing around in front of it. I did find my 43things t-shirt, so I’ll be wearing that (along with blue jeans, tennis shoes, probably my blue ambulance jacket).
Looking forward to meeting everyone who joins us.
