Lark1I feel a need to send a couple of optimistic and cheerful secrets

More than ever.

So many of the secrets I read on Post Secret these days are expressions of pain and suffering, I guess those are the sorts of secrets people have and it serves a great many and is a great good that it can.

Although there are as many things which I’m happy about but cant reveal without anonymity as there are painful thoughts that could serve as a source of inspiration to me. If people thought about it I’m sure they could be the same themselves. 3 months ago

I actually have several postcards created, addressed, and stamped. All ready to go. Yet I’ve held onto them for a few years..

I just need to let them go I guess. 8 months ago

HalfGhostPlan

1. Figure out a secret that I would like to send in.

-This is going to be the most difficult one of all, since I really don’t have that many secrets. I need to rack my brain for one that expresses who I am and makes me feel elated to get off my chest.

2. Find the perfect postcard.

-Whether it be painting/drawing one myself, making a collage from magazines and other things myself, or finding an actual postcard, it has to relate somewhat to the secret I am sending in.

3. Send it and hope it gets put up!

-Sending it in = stamp, mailbox, done! It’s not a huge issue if it never makes it to the PostSecret site, though it would be pretty cool to see it displayed on the internet! 9 months ago

Years ago when Myspace was still a big thing, Postsecret had their own page and one of the blogs had a lot of people posting mobile numbers to receive secrets.
I posted my number and thought no more of it, until I received a text one day from someone telling me their secrets. Although we started off as anonymous, curiosity got the better of us both, and we talked about who were we, where we lived etc. Turns out, this girl was only a few years younger than me and lived about 15minutes away from me!

Although we’ve never met in real life, I now consider this girl someone to talk to if I need to get something off my chest, and I’d love to share that with Postsecret by sending in my own postcard. 12 months ago

Emily MetzMine got posted!

I read Post Secret every Sunday, along with the german website.(Post Secret auf Deutsch, which has a translation button, so check it out!) I wanted to support the German version, because they recieve very few secrets, in comparison to the original Post Secret. The first post secret I sent in, didn’t make it there, because it never got posted. And they post every secret that comes in, due to low numbers. But I didn’t give up, I tried again, with a slightly different version of my secret. And I was sooo pleased to see that it made it there, and be posted online. AND MY SECRET, even got a response from someone who related, and we swapped information through the website. Excellent experience. :D 13 months ago

skyPRINCEDone!

Made my postcard past weekend, and then I mailed it today. It was great to make my own postcard with a photo and some text written on it. ...I hope to see it soon on the website. I’ll stay tuned!.

PS: I scanned my postcard and saved a copy on my PC. Just in case! 14 months ago

I have sent in 2 postcards, neither have been posted, but it is so relieving to get that out there. Plus, it was really fun creating my postcard designs. 14 months ago

I think I’ve finally figured out the secret I want to go with, now it’s just a matter of making up a postcard and mailing it. At least this means I’m one step closer. 15 months ago
