Laila John yes i do
bought a john coltrane album (i know!!... get me) and a couple of new ones, namely foals and vampire weekend and pete and the pirates. think i should go back in time instead of going forward… if that make any sense to anybody else
Today John and I went to Lost Weekend—If any of you are near the Columbus Ohio area, this is the place to go. We go about once every two months and find new stuff there all the time.
Got the following albums:
Bruce Springsteen—Nebraska ($5)
The Doors—The Best of the Doors ($1)
Peter Gabriel—So ($1)
The Beatles-Something New ($1-Pretty beat up, but still good)
The Beatles-Hey Jude ($10-Pretty hard to find)
Queen-Queen II ($5-Also hard to find)
David Bowie—The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars ($8)
Patti Smith Group—Wave ($5)
Holy Crap! We’re getting close to finishing our Springsteen collection—only a few more left. We’re getting close though.
Callie is the last good thing you ever saw.
I’ve been buying a lot of Alkaline Trio vinyl… actually it’s the only kind I own!
I just got the Hell Yes 7” and my Remains turquoise marble 12” (which I’ve heard rumors is out of 3 or 4 hundred)
I’ve purchased the Halloween 7” and the Good Mourning 12” but haven’t recieved them yet…
I also just ordered Remains from Hot Topic which means it should be a mustard color!
I love vinyl!!
Now i have amassed a large collection of Oasis 12” vinyl and of 12” promo vinyl . Its worth quite alot of money as well.
Worth doing!
have found a couple of great record stores in London and I visit them every week. I’ve got some great ones from lots of small labels. I am also getting loads from online stores. 3 arrived at work today. Wicked electro house and breaks tracks from small labels!!
i save up money, i’m gonna spend it buying vinyl tracks of my favorite songs and artists. I’m gonna keep a shitload until i’m withering up like a raisin, and I’ll play it and remember what it was like when I was alive . . .
There’s something about vinyl. I don’t know what it is, but I find it so much cooler than any other music media. The only problem is that, well, I don’t have a player. Or any vinyl. Yet. I plan to change this. Soon.
