I have identified several mentors and advisor’s to assist me with going to graduate school. I hope this step helps propel me in the right director as I get ready to start apply. Next step is identifying people to write me a recommendation. 2 months ago

So I have started writing down things I do towards working toward that goal. I have emailed professors, studied, and sent out my first writing sample to three people. I also found some friends to assist me and reviewing my resume. I just need to buckle down and finish out my CV. I have a 5 year work history gap….I would advise anyone to NEVER do that. Always update your CV. 2 months ago

I am overly eager to start my applications. I have noticed most schools haven’t allowed students to start applying for the 2014 School Year. In the mean time I am writing practice personal statements and reading more. I have made it a goal to take my GRE’s in May. Wish me luck :D 6 months ago

Got my acceptance letter awhile ago. I can’t explain in detail how I did it—I just gave it my all! :) Hard work, skill, a lot of luck. Just do your best and have backup plans! 17 months ago

Well, I’ve got one shot at this. I submitted everything to my graduate school of choice (it’s the only graduate school I can go to, too) and now I’ll hear about it in early December. I’m so scared. This’ll really make or break what I do in the next year, and consequently, the rest of my life.
The cons of grad school—+33k in school loan debt, might not have a job afterward
The pros—A chance to start over, make friends and network, learn more, get more experience, and possibly get a job afterward
The cons are few, but they’re scary. What do I do?
I’m just going to stick with it. I can’t give up now. i can’t go back to living with my parents in a hometown where people hate me. I’ll lose every bit of myself if I do. I just need help staying positive and focused. I’m so frightened of the college’s response. So, so frightened.
Cheers would be appreciated! 18 months ago

I’m planning to take the GRE’s on the 27th of this month. After this, I start the application process for the three schools I am applying to. I work full time so I have to get into a program geared towards busy professionals. I’m pursuing my MS in mental health counseling. JHU is my top choice, second is UB, and last is Adams State College (online). I can’t wait to start school! I’m such a nerd 20 months ago

Just received an e-mail notifying me of my acceptance into a Biostatistics Masters program… I think that I am now terrified of how my schedule will change. Freaking out about how I will balance this with full time work. But this is what I asked for, so here I go… 2 years ago
