is not really to walk daily, but to wake up every morning with the sincere intention to do so.
I’d be most happy if I could go out early in the morning (pre-sunrise), and walk for 30-35 minutes at the track. It does wonders for my mood and my physical well-being, and it regulates my appetite at least until lunch.
At this time of year, this would be around 7 am, and it is doable, but I’d need to be on a tight schedule, and I don’t really like it, especially on days I leave for work at 8.
This week’s goal will be to do this on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. 2 years ago
Count this goal as done after 21 days, and I almost at 30. Now I have moved from walking to jogging, so new goal is to jog daily, which I am also doing. I guess my goal is to run. How did I do it? I set my alarm at 5:40 a.m. to be out of the house and at the track by 6. It’s worked so far. On Sundays, my treat days, I go somewhere other than the track for a change of scenery.
That’s about it. And I also used good old-fashioned determination. 2 years ago
I’ve made it to 21 straight days of walking!!!!!!!!!! I’m up to 4 miles a day and I think I’m going to stay at 4 for a little while. Maybe until next week and then ratchet it up. I’m so proud of myself. 2 years ago
