Years ago I was stationed in Sicily. and lived on Mount Etna, (a 10,000 foot volcano which pretty much dominates the island). Many evenings there would be a rainbow, big brilliant arcing over the sky and you could see where one or both ends were. and I would get in my VW Beetle and chase around to try to see how close I could get to the end of one. Of course by the time I would get to where I thought it would be it had moved on. But it was an interesting thing to do. I highly recommend a little rainbow chasing to anyone who sees one and has the time to chase it down. Peace.

Des is slowly regaining her sanity (unfortunately?)
My kids spotted it. It didn’t look like a typical rainbow because it had clouds behind it. The colors weren’t as vivid because of that but, on the other hand, the clouds made the rainbow look closer and almost tangible, and it sort of glowed and sparkled.

My daughter gets so excited when she sees them. She likes to draw them ,and even knows the proper order of the colors :) I was dropping off DD at preschool one morning and we said how pretty how the rainbow outside was. The 50 year old teacher was so excited she grabbed the Polaroid camera and ran outside because she had never seen a Rainbow before.

a double rainbow which ended exactly at the casino near here. Nope, I didn’t head straight over there to find my “pot of gold”. But I did take a great photo of it.

It rained most of the day yesterday and it rained really hard last night. I looked out of the window earlier to see if it was still raining or getting sunny and I saw this big rainbow (the one pictured above). After staring at it for several minutes, I started to see another big rainbow appear to the left of it…it wasn’t as bright, but it still looked beautiful! It started to rain soon after I saw the rainbows and now they are gone! Those rainbows also reminded me of this one that I saw 6 months ago. Love seeing rainbows!
