As sad as it sounds, I did not vote in this past election in November due to personal reasons. I also didn’t feed educated enough to make a sound decision so I just didn’t. For the next election I want to make sure I know whats going on far ahead of time to make a sound decision and represent my country. 3 months ago

This year’s election was the first ever election that I got to vote in. I registered to vote last year when I was 18 and promised myself that I was not going to be one of those people who does not care enough to vote and just watches things happen. I wanted to have a part in this thing we call Democracy and exercise my democratic right to vote. If I did not vote, it would be a huge slap in the face to all the women and people of color who fought for my right to vote. So, I voted and the candidate I voted for is my President once again, for another 4 years. Every vote counts :) 6 months ago

When the elections have been so close in recent years, every vote becomes more important. It is a shame that so many people that could vote do not. I love the quote in this picture of a woman who lost her home because of hurricane Sandy, “I voted because it was the only thing I had left. Everything else is gone.” 6 months ago

so I pulled out my ballot, read the options, and voted. There were a few propositions and quite a lot of local candidates where I did not make a choice, especially mayor of Portland. I don’t like either candidate. 6 months ago

Oregon votes entirely by mail, which means I have my ballot sitting in my house but I haven’t voted yet. It was less stressful in New York, where you decided your choice, went in, and did it. 6 months ago

I mailed in my absentee ballot since I’m overseas. Missed 2 elections but I finally did it and I’m glad that I got my voice heard. 7 months ago
