To get 5 pieces of Fruit a day, I am going to:
1) Breakfast – have 1 piece of fruit after my cereal / Toast
2) Mid Morning – have 1 piece of fruit as a snack at my desk at work
3) Lunch – include a piece of fruit with lunch after my sandwich
4) Mid Afternoon – have a piece of fruit at work as snack
5) Tea Time – Have a piece of fruit for pudding after my Tea, try to include veg in my tea also.
I hope I can stick to this plan :)

Doing better

The first 2 weeks of July I was doing the “Fabulous in a Fortnight” (by Monica Grenfell) diet which means I was eating 4 pieces of fruit a day and many portions of vegetables. It was a great diet and I’ll do it again sometime. Since then I’ve been trying to keep up my intake of fruit and veg, although over the last week I haven’t had much money to buy any fresh. I’m going to start monitoring my progress of this goal again starting on Monday (28th July).

I am to the point that i am definitely eating more than 5 USDA recommended portions of fruits and veggies daily, and most of them are raw at that. Love it!
