So far I have picked a ‘learn Spanish’ podcast I like from several options, and listen to those here and there. Also, attempting to brush off rusty skills by speaking little bits here and there.
And also, most helpful, pestering my most gracious and helpful colleagues to practice speaking with and to learn me some phrases… 1 week ago
Yes! It doesn’t seem much, but this tells me I am still able to learn new skills and that is terrific! My life used to be about learning new skills. After my brain injury I wasn’t sure I would still be able to learn things. Now I just hope it will stick and I will still remember what I learned in a couple of months from now. We’ll see. 1 week ago

... and with each move and new assignment, it seems the need to speak Spanish, or at least practice what rusty bits I’ve acquired through the years, becomes a smarter thing. Might be time to embrace that. 2 weeks ago

I studied Spanish for 1 year and received a 9 out of 10 grade for the course. However, after a few years I have forgotten most of it since I never practiced it. I’d suggest moving to a country of the language you want to learn to really get fluent in it. 3 weeks ago
