Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Todd SchoonoverHappy Belated

I was in NYC yesterday and only had a brief interval of access to the internet so I didn’t have a chance to pass on my birthday wishes on the day. Still, it’s never too late for passing along good wishes so here they are a day late:

May you find comfortable acceptance in your surroundings so that nudity is not something that is unaccepted, whether it be in your car or hanging out at home with friends. May you find in yourself your own acceptance of your body (even if it has to wait for those 20 lbs) as you teach others to accept their own. May you find the time and funding for at least one trip this year, whether it be to Palm Springs, Wreck Beach, Mazo Beach, Canada or back to the desert. 7 years ago

JulieJordanScottThe Last Happy Bday post for this year... NudeFreedom4!

I sure hope it was a splendid day, better than you ever could have imagined it would be. I know my birthdays keep getting better – I trust yours is doing the same this year and next and next and next and next…......

And this photo that I am adding here is one of my favorite non-clothed photos – mostly because it is mysterious. I mean, is that really me, without any clothes on, behind my toes?!

You be the judge….

Happy Happy Happy birthday! 7 years ago

JulieJordanScottOne day to go!!

You are so lucky, your birthday is on a weekend this year!

And while I am at it, I realized since it is YOUR party, I should be posting nude photos – silly me. Ofcourse, they have to be nude photos that are abridged, so they are not found offensive by the powers that be, here.

I am going to start with one of my favorites. AND it feels risky because it comes so close to showing “too much”!!! Whatever the heck that means! 7 years ago

JulieJordanScottHey, Someone Very Special Has A Birthday A-Comin'!

And I just couldn’t stay away – I had to be a part of it.

Is everyone else ready to get naked?! Isn’t that a part of this party, or is that just me….

(Maybe I am confused, maybe we are just supposed to get free?!) 7 years ago
