There’s a independent coffee shop up the street from me which has a stage for music performances. It might not be possible, but I’d like to ask and see if the owner or anyone he knows would be willing to give me lessons on the drums. Maybe for a small compensation (as much as a college student could realistically afford to give). Since the shop doesn’t get a ton of traffic, I think there’d be enough down time to have mini-lessons, if someone is willing. Then I’ll compensate the person for real if I end up becoming a rock star someday. 5 months ago

My little brother got electric drums for christmas.. and I thought hey, time to give a try on this goal! So I grabbed the drum sticks and after a couple of try-outs, I just started to play! I have no idea where it all came from but it sounded pretty ok for a person who virtually has never played drums before. So far I’ve just admired the skill and speed of such drummers like Mike Portnoy, but now I really want to learn that stuff myself… besides playing drums is the best way to pour one’s heart out (Y) 16 months ago

Okay so, I have the drumset… now all I need is to know what to do with them! I’ve tried banging on them a few times and it just never sounds as good as I would like it to… haha So, hopefully I will be taking lessons soon? 2 years ago
