Learn to surf

Going to jiu jitsu scares me too much. I am going to take another surf lesson and go one step at a time. I felt better after I did it a few days ago. I think if I feel better after doing it, it is ok to continue. 3 days ago

I took a lesson yesterday. I am thinking I will do another one. She is going to teach me how to surf on my own board. We used a soft one in the first lesson. I’ve had my board since about 1997 but it’s only been used about 20 times total. I have taken a few lessons in the past but none in the past 3-4 years, and none using my own board. I’d really like to be able to use that board. 4 days ago

it was really fun i have alwasy had a bit of a fear of the ocean and this has helped, I have signed up for more lesson. 1 month ago

Born and raised in a land-locked state, is this not every Midwesterner’s dream? I grew up with a family lake cabin, and there is little I love more than being under water, but ocean and surf board are the stuff of daydreams. I don’t just want one lesson, I want surfing to be an activity in my life, something regular, natural, like riding a bike, or a practice, like yoga. I am moving from Minnesota to Maine in a couple of months…it will require a warm wet suit, but the internet tells me you can surf there…! 2 months ago

Ive taken a break on this goal. Im gonna try to get to the beach later this month hopefully it’ll be warmer 3 months ago

I’ve lived in Oz for nearly a year and a half and I’ve still not ticked this off.
Probably because Brisbane doesn’t have its own beach… maybe later in the year, I’ll head up to the Gold Coast and give it a shot! 4 months ago

I couldn’t believe it… I was ready to finally learn to surf, but there wasn’t any!

I even met a couple of guys who took me over to another island where they were going to teach me. We waited for 2 and a half days by the swimming pool with an eye out for any change, but nothing! The boys said they had been surfing that spot for 15 years and never seen it that flat… maybe it was me!

There were stunning views though!
