figure out what I want to do when I grow up

I don’t think it is possible to ever know exactly what i want to do, especially if i never grow up… ha ha… i will never grow old at heart!!!! Anyway…i think that currently my interests lie in biochemistry, forensics, and marine biology! The college question is creeping up on me too fast and i am not sure i am ready for that part of “growing up.” I am in my comfort bubble, i am finally getting good at making friends and i actually have more than i think i ever had. I learned a really important lesson this year, the key to figuring out what you want to do and making friends is just being yourself… if a person judges you too much… why be their friend?

I am 40 years old and you would think that I would have figured it out by now. All I ever wanted to do was be a wife and a mother! My children are now grown (I worked a lot) and now, I do not know what I want to do!!

I’d like to figure out what I want to do when I grow up because I have no clue ! I can’t skip and play for the rest of my life … or can I ?

who should i be? what should i do? i have no idea…do you?

but so far it’s not all bad. Lots of ideas to choose from. or maybe not choose, just actually do something with the things floating around in my brain. maybe all of them.

I don’t think anyone can ever be certain of this but, for now, I’ve decided to major in journalism and pursue a degree in that!

to write for AP… That would be the most kick ass job on the face of the planet…

Gee, retired twice, have gone back to school, am now overseas as a contractor in the Mid-East for the second time…what’s next to do? Guess I’ll have to grow up and settle down…nah, I may grow older, but I refuse to grow up! Heck, I’m not even out of my 60’s yet! But I would go back to flying helicopters again in a heartbeat!!

Photojournalism… okay so it’s not some high paying job… but it’s not a desk job and it’s exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for… I want something where I’m allowed to be a bit… eccentric :)
