I think people should start eating more vegetarian food. The meat consumption is just so insane! The world cannot afford everyone to eat that much meat. And to think about the affects of meat production to global warming…
So not just as I am talking about this, I am trying to do something myself as well. This week I have only eaten vegetarian food (well dairy and fish as well). I try to keep it that way, I eat at least once a week vegetarian food.

Sometimes i get frustrated and confused with the way things go but always try and find a better way to channel this energy.
I am reading a book on “coaching and mentoring” for Dummies by Marty Brounstein and it really is an amazing book.
This book distinguishes the differences of being a “doer” who just needs results any which way from the “coach” who although is a doer, is also capable of giving people the opportunity to develop in order to be self sufficient.
Really when people think they “need” someone or something, what we probably most need is not in the form of an “instant fix” but something more substaintial that can effectively get us to stand on our own two feet and make a valuable contribution in the short and long term.
He highlights the difference between “commitment” vs “compliance”. How allowing people to be contribute in collaborative efforts and form part of the evaulation of say a project rather than excluding people if methods used don’t get the “results” or by not”using the right method”.
Everyone makes mistakes and although a cliche, it does matter as much the way you deal with a mistake as it does the nature of the mistake. Coaching to bring out the best in people and even in yourself requires honesty and a willingness to do what it takes to move forward positively.
Teaching people self sufficiency has much farther reaching results that merely getting people to do without a thought of “adding value”.

I am living by my own rules here. But there’s always more stuff that I could do like donating money and voluntaring. And eating more vegetarian food.
I keep this on my list cos I hope other people will see what I have posted here and maybe change their actions. I don’t say that all the things I said are the right way to life. Those are just the changes I would like to see. Be the judge. See if those changes can make the difference. I claim that they do.

World Breaker

I have lived my life thus far becoming just that. Remember though that the world is the way it is because that’s what it wants to be. When you become what you want to see in the world you in a sense make it your enemy by pitting yourself against it. I don’t view it as my enemy but it seems to have taken that stand against me. By choosing to live by a certain set of values that has not been widely adopted or may even be frowned upon you make yourself the outsider. I believe I have always been an outsider so some of the side effects didn’t harm me as much. People want to be helped but they want it done their way on their terms which often times is not the ‘right’ way to help them. Sometimes you have to be outside the problem, outside their stress and temper flares to reshape it into something better. This is hard for them to fully understand. I think that is basically the world’s way of baiting you back in to its hustle and bustle. In order for this whole thing to work we all have to change and create a new world for ourselves while leaving the old one behind.

A little smile from a stranger can save a day. Also happiness is same kind of infection as sadness, it’s spreads. It doesn’t take much to be happy, but it sure does much goodness both yourself and to others.

I just have to write an entry about this even I mentioned it earlier.
I have now been working in parks and I have seen a lot of waste on the ground. People hide plastic garbage like ice cream wraps in to bushes and thinks that it’s alright to do that. No it isn’t! And then there are people who doesn’t even hide their trash. They live it on the ground even there’s a trash can next to them! I just don’t get it. It bothers me so much to see all that trash in our beautiful nature. So never trow anything to ground.
I just have to mention also about the dog shit. Why it’s so that people always complain about it so much on the newspapers, but rarely I get to read about trash that people do? The dog shit moulders, the plastic doesn’t! My suggest is not to clean the trash for example for a week so people would realize what they do !! And maybe then some people would realize how ugly it is and understand that it’s their own fault.
Or maybe people never learn.
Hmm parents should teach their kids that they shouldn’t trash so they never would either when they grow up. But it’s hard to teach once kids when the parents do it by theirself…

Remember to be grateful of things you have.
Remember that there are people who might not have what you have.
Appreciate your life as it is and never take anything for granted. Help those who are less fortunate than you are.
Concentrate on positive.

Use your own brains to think. Don’t make assumptions that might turn out false. Think your actions. Try to seek the truth instead of buying everything the authors told us. Remember that life isn’t only black and white. Try to put yourself into other peoples position and see things by their eyes.
