My husband was in the US Army and we lived in Belgium and Germany. 9 months ago
I lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for 10 months 1996-1997 for college and again lived in Europe the summer of 2000, when I attended school in Paris :-)
I’d love to move back to either place and work there. 15 months ago
New orders, inbound to South Korea for a couple years. 16 months ago
well, to live and work in another coutry will be fun, you can learn another language and also their culture, haha 19 months ago
Shortly after my husband and I got married, he was given orders to go to RAF Lakenheath, which is in England, for four years. Both he and I were extremely excited about it.
I have to say, it was definitely an amazing experience. There were things I loved about it, and things I hated. Despite the fact that we didn’t have to learn another language, there was still a bit of culture shock. 22 months ago
I spent last summer in Quebec, living there, figuring out the public transit, and exploring one of North America’s most gorgeous cities (IMHO) :) But perhaps I’m a bit biased? Even though Canada’s not much of a stretch geographically, I still spoke French every day with the family that hosted me and struggled with culture shock and a had slew of misunderstandings. It was an amazing experience, unparalleled to anything I’ve done thus far, and I’m now setting my sights on even bigger and better trips! 23 months ago
Preferably in Edinburgh (I fell in love with that city) but I just want to live somewhere else for the excitement, the adventure and so on. 2 years ago
