...but I guess a new era did begin. We got engaged today! :) I actually new about this cos he had to tell me about his plans cos he didn’t know what size my ring should be and since we wanted it to be this day (today is our fifth anniversary) it was essential to get the rings done in time (in Finland it’s common that both get the rings at the time of engagement). Our rings were handmade by local jewelery smith. It has no diamonds (I don’t want any), but probably when we get married, we will alternate the ring by adding few stones there (not diamonds, something else).
It’s been pretty hard for me not to tell about this before hand to my friends.
Today we will also celebrate this by going eat out some fancy place that is still secret for me. In the morning I got real champagne and roses :)
I am very happy now :) I love him a lot ♥ 4 months ago

I got married to the man of my dreams on October 4, 2000. I was only 17 at the time ,so young. But when it’s right, it’s right. We are very happy. When we change, we do it together. We grow and build on our relationship daily. 5 months ago

Don’t get too excited, there’s no weddings in the near future though for me :D
When I gave up this goal, I was so disappointed in love. I believed that I couldn’t think that I would get the happily ever after. But right now I am in very satisfying relationship and I want to keep him in my life for rest of my life.
And when I get married some day, I want to stay married. That’s why I want to be absolutely sure and want him to be sure as well before saying “I do”. 10 months ago

You know what else.. You Never know how this will work out. When my best friend since I was 13 texted me to say she was engaged I went to work, opened a random online diary and ranted about how envious I was and how I would never have the same and how miserable ad fed up I was f searching…. Fast forward a year from then I had met the man I would marry… Fast forward another 5 years, my best friends husband turned out to be such a twat.. And no one saw that coming, he seemed so sound and they were once so happy… Turns out she’s better off without that wanker and me who thought I’d never meet anyone is so far happily married with 2 gorgeous girls… I wsh I could find that online entry to remind myself that even though you feel defeated at times in life actually you just have to wait and see what’s round the corner… 17 months ago

Not sure when I can really cross this off my list and say it’s done, but the man and I will have been together for 14 years in March and we are as much in love now as ever. 2 years ago

We’ve only been married six months, but I’m not sure how long we’d have to be married to really cross this off! So far marriage has been both wonderful and hard. But so worth it, and I can’t wait to say I lived happily ever after on this life long journey. <3 2 years ago
