I’m now in the middle of Numbers. I read about a two-page-spread each night, more if it really engages me. Laws, laws, laws. I wonder if the Bible was early humanity’s only written repository of all knowledge and law that had been ascertained up to the point it was written.

Really looking forward to the prophets, maybe they had more stories. :) 4 months ago

noickyGreat resource!

Thanks to Noah Bourdeu’s post I was able to download a Bible Reading Plan over at www.biblestudytools.com and I’ve already started working on this goal. :) 5 months ago

Noah BourdeuReading Plan

Thanks to BibleStudyTools.com I have found a great, chronological reading plan for reading the Bible over the course of one year. This plan doesn’t exactly follow the Bible in the order it was written, it takes more of an a chronological approach, which from what I have read it makes the Bible flow better and easier to understand certain Biblical events. Kate GurskayaReading holy books

I reading the Bible or other holy and sacred books is a good thing. First of all, it makes you thinking. Religions do not usually encourage thinking, they demand obeying. This is something everyone should think about.

All the holy books mainly say the same and it is “Love your God and everyone who surrounds you as much as you love yourself”. If you accept this very simple idea, and if you at least try to live according it, you will become a better person. All other rules are just mere props to help you on this road.

When I was a teen, I have been reading the Bible every day. It was a good time and many things I learned that days are now helping me to live this life. So this goal is definitely worth doing. 9 months ago

mp219Using an app

I have the YouVersion Bible app on my iPhone and iPad. I started the OwnIt365 One Year Bible plan on January 1st. Great app to keep me on track. The plan gives you one day break every week. I chose this plan because I saw on the the ownit365 website had a study guide for the plan. The bible can be hard to understand, so the guide is very useful, plus I have a study bible that has notes on the verses. I’m trying to use the right tools to help me reach this goal. So far I’m done with Genesis and almost done with Job. 16 months ago
