I’ve researched the pipeline and feel its doable.
I’m beginning to be saturated with research for my subject matter. I’m hopeful i can attract talented collaborators.
The next step is to storyboard it. It’s the one thing that will open every other door. 14 months ago
Ok first off explaining why Polly Pockets is the title of this entry. Me, my friend, and her little sister shot film using Polly Pockets, so now I’m making it in to a movie. It’s the Case of Mr. Mcfluffypants I’m half-way there!
Wish me luck,

For a long time, due to my timid and shy nature I doubted my ability to really make a short film. But year 2011 has taken me by surprise, or rather I have surprised myself by just opening up and making more friends and being confidant enough to talk anyone. You cannot become a filmmaker, without being good at networking. I remember my father has been nagging me with this for years but it always remained a mysterious and difficult skill that i thought was out of my bounds. I this year I truly got to know what my father has been telling me all this time.
And here I am, suddenly making a lot of friends and collaborating with the right people. My film was screened in front of 200 people in the great cinema hall of my university. It wasn’t my best work, but it was my first film and I know I have a tendency to be hard on myself. Even though I though I could have done a better job, I recieved a positive reponse from the audience and friends. But at the same time I know should pat myself on the back for choosing to commit myself to making the film instead of being nervous to take the role of director and opting out to work other people’s films.
I wrote my own script and directed the film. I also ended up as the editor of the film and i’m glad I did that too. This experience has just made me realise that I am not really as shy as I thought. I can make hundreds of phone calls, I can talk to strangers, I can convince and get people to work for me (provided I be more professional next time), and I can go to parties and make friends.. and I can continue to pursue my career in film and television with more confidence and improved networking skills.:) 22 months ago
Completed my first short film on July 1, 2011. Filming took place on 3 separate days. Editing took about a week. Submitted it to a local film festival. My first time directing. 23 months ago

We have put back the shooting until June 2011. I have started a web page on http://www.lookman.biz/Distant_Relatives.html It is a bit rough until we get some real pictures etc. It may lead on tp greater things. 1 year ago
I’ve done it!
I just decided to edit it all last night – I have been doing some editing for weeks now but I finally put it all together last night (well, this morning.)
My neighbour was up partying and I couldn’t sleep through the noise, so I completed our little film project. I’ve spent MONTHS on this – I’ve been getting bits of film since January and I am so happy it’s done :).
I’m waiting for Vimeo to give it the okay, then it will be all ready for everyone to see :).
Until then, check this out: http://vimeo.com/22762613 2 years ago
I have actually started a small film about my son.
I’m really proud of the footage I have so far. I would love a better camera, but for the equipment and energy levels (or there lack of) that I have I feel really happy about the outcome so far.
The editing process is hard for me. I seek perfection and a complete slickness to my work that I never seem to achieve, so I settle for ‘I did my best with what I had.’ Editing is difficult physically because right now my right arm is seizing up a lot – A LOT. But I’ll be damned if I don’t complete this by 2011. 2 years ago
