have a place for everything... by finishing the addition!

Just getting some started things finished, like the protective layers on the roof and the floor of the workshops raked.

I hate that it’s so slow, but it was killing us. Now we’re in the “work the paying job overtime to buy the next load of construction materials” phase. I think we definitely won’t be closed in by winter.

right now my task is to shovel dirt to build up and level the floor in the workshop. All good – the more I shove out of my utility room, the sooner we get to work on it, too! Both rooms (extensions off the green house) will have tesselated concrete tile floor, if all goes as planned.

a bead of caulk around the new door frame, patch the roof, build the work bench…

means that soon there will be functional large tools for handling many other things…

today by digging out the foundation and covering with the permanent layer of gravel. Also a chance of cleaning up the yard and Addition 1 today…

like everything is prep work, and there’s no actual “getting anything done”!

North earth-berm is at the next stage, area for stove and chimney foundation is clear and (OK, unnecessary, but totally uplifting) a new tree and four young lilacs are planted!!!

in teh workshop, cleared the north hill of half of the debris yesterday in preparation for earth moving on Sunday.

we surface-bonded the second coat in the workshop. Beautiful!
