Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

I started 6 years ago and I’ve finally reached the point that I don’t need the book anymore! 7 years ago

handprintonmyheartWhy I want to learn to read palms

1. Makes for a good conversation
2. It’s a unique skill that most people don’t know how to do
3. Makes for a good flirting opportunity (holding someone’s hand – hello!)

patfVery interesting skill!

This is one of the most interesting things to do. Not only will you be fascinated about knowing so much about yourself and others, you’ll be able to meet all kinds of people with it.
This site has a list of resources to help anyone who wants to learn how to read palms: http://www.palmistryworld.com 7 years ago

ShampooSuicidehaha

my mother has no idea about this goal, and yesterday she showed me out of the blue the meaning of some lines and structures. I had no idea she knows how to read palms. soon I will find out that she can juggle or something in that way 8 years ago

Dana ReeceNeed more practice

I sort of lost interest in this one for a while and am trying again. Palmistry doesn’t have a lot of practical uses in real life, but it makes an awesome party trick. Besides, haven’t you always wanted to flip someone’s hand over adn say, I’m sorry. I can’t give you my number because your life line connects to the wrong spot. lol Just a thought. 8 years ago

NoahTampaBayTakes some studying to get down, but worth it.

It not only makes for a great conversation starter but it can give you important details about your life. 8 years ago

I bought a book I once read about scientifically palm reading for $15. And the book was published in 1976 (!)
I should have sought after a cheaper copy, but the author is a well known psycologist and everything is very well explained. 8 years ago
