my fiance and I were living in an apartment with our roommate in winnipeg manitoba which is also home to the hotel fort garry. we had heard weird noises form the room across the hall from the living room which happened to be the room our roommate would stay in. one night however the noises got very distinguished. Doors slammed…a brief quiet scream sound…and finally…a little girl saying “mommy” clear as day. We decided we’d perform a seance the next night with our friends Madison and Jason who have done this sort of thing several times. As we were doing this…we asked where this little girl had been killed…the cup we were using shot into the closet. I went in to get it and the door slammed shut on me and locked me in…while everyone was halfway across the room. I freaked out and someone let me out. I had this weird feeling like there was something we’d been missing in the corner of that closet. I turned on the light and there were small bloodstains seeping through the white paint on the walls of the closet.

It wasn’t really a hotel, it was an old building that was being used as a kind of hostel for youth volunteers, in Lithuania. Was originally a convent, then when the Soviets took over, it was used as an insane asylum. (But we were just told it was an old convent.)
The first night, before we went to sleep, a Polish girl said, “Do you think there are ghosts?” I said, “How could there be ghosts? Nuns lived here, and they would go to heaven for sure, they wouldn’t become ghosts.” She said, “Oh, that’s right!” and went to sleep happily. :-P
I’ve been to an abandoned haunted mental institute, or asylum, and it was quite creepy. Thank goodness I was with about 6 other people. But I’ve never stayed the night in a haunted facility. Oh wait actually, The Dabbs Hotel in Llano, TX, but I don’t count that since I was about 4 years old and don’t remember a thing. But places of this sort tend to be expensive, such as the Driskell Hotel in downtown Austin. I’ve visited it but never overnight. I’ll try and convince my husband to stay at the haunted hotel they have here in Winnipeg. I believe it is called The Fort Garry. We’ve got our whole lives to do that though :)
i recommend the dolphin inn in fishguard, wales! have dinner amongst stuffed birds and ancient ladies in evening dresses and wait what happens..!
nothing happened :(
we had evp recorders and everything…and nothing
in fact, we almost got raped by crazy drunkins so that was very not good.
pretty hotel though
Hubby and I are going on vacation in July. Hope to find and make a reservation somewhere soon.
Spent the night at the supposedly haunted Queen Anne hotel in San Francisco. Nothing unsual happened. Any cold spots felt were due to the fact that the place is over 100 years old & was not heated very well to begin with. The staff even said they have never heard, seen or have had anything unusual happen. Don’t know if it’s something I would spend my money on again & plus the place had a weird smell.
jenni is awesome.
a guy there showed me all the photos he’d taken of ‘weird apparitions’ and the dead girl in the hall.
i didn’t really see or feel anything strange while i was there.
