well, I didnt achieve everything on the original list, but I did make a concerted effort to do one thing each day towards each goal. Productivity increased at least a dozen fold! So, I definitely want to continue to put up a month’s worth of goals and aim for one action each day.

June 23rd 18 months ago

Just translated an email from my replacement to my office complaining about lack of information. Could it be possible that my emails have all failed to reach her, despite my not receiving any “failed delivery” messages? Can emails get lost in the post? I’m trying very hard to suspend judgement and supress vindictive thoughts!
After I translated the email, my supervisor wrote her a very curt response:
“this is her name and email address. Please get in touch with her. She has already sent you three emails…”
I particularly loved the dot dot dot!
Hahaha! Now she HAS to contact me one way or another!

1.three on-line applications
2.one hour writing – have no lessons after lunch so nip home and get my notes after 3rd period and do this in the afternoon
3.eikaiwa intro
4.early night – have told K there will be a midnight sleep deadline, since I don’t think my body can handle continuing to enter a completely different sleep cycle every weekend. Have been exhausted for a while now, and I’m sure he is at least partly to blame.
5.after work yoga
6.SMILE Feel oddly serene this morning and this seems to be coming very easily.
7.trim the leeks and put some in my soup! Yum yum!

ave been so busy with work it’s been difficultto find time for all of these, but hopefully the worst is now over. Have a demo lesson to give for the district board of education officials on MOnday, and then it should be more or less back to normal.
A pity that my replacement refuses to reply to any emails I send her, I wouldn’t mind as much, if only I weren’t having to translate an awfu lot of paperwork to and from Japanese (not part of my job description) in order to get things ready within the office. I know that she has email access because she is replying to the official office emails (translated by yours truly; her replies also translated by yours truly), but for some reason she has decided not to reply to mine.
Silly girl!
All it means is that while I’ll do everything I can to prepare my office for her arrival, I’m not now particularly inclined to do anything to help her personally, other than the bare essentials.

Anyway, that was a long and unforeseen rant! My apologies!

1. get new photo. Alter cover letter. Post Resumes. Email the rest. Complete on-line application.I have a mostly free afternoon once I finish at the elementary schools, with only one meeting towards four, so no excuses not to get all this donephew! for the first time in ages I’ve got everything done off my list and am now waiting for balls to come back into my court! Being productive is much less stressful than sitting and brooding!
2. One hour writing. Possibly make do with 40 minutes; just need to write something.Did 50 mins and can feel things coming together nicely!
3. Explain town paper article.tempted not to explain anything at all, silly girl, mutter mutter
4. Early night, lots and lots of water.early night on the way, at least 2 litres of water drunk
5. Yoga after work – 20 mins or so. Better than nothing! 30 mins, very relaxing! Just can’t get enough puppy-cat-cobra!
6. Smile!!!Shouldn’‘t be hard; I’ve got the elementary school mini-volleyball demonstration to participate in, despite somehow having got away with never playing mini-volleyball in my life! Am also supposed to be teaching them the rules of cricket!you might like to know that my team emerged as the district elementary school champions, despite being somewhat hampered by my participation!
7. water leeks! can’t let them wilt in the heat!unforeseen rainstorm, no watering for me!
