It’s over a foot long. I just have to resist the temptation to use up all my stitch patterns before I even get halfway!

Stockinette or bust!  — 4 months ago

So, I’ve knit millions of scarves, but only in garter stitch, and I think HALF of one in ribbing. But this time I resolve to knit one completely in stockinette, ‘cos I like how it looks & I always get bored when I try—but not this time, no sir!

not even half way....  — 4 months ago

Wow, i am really slow at this goal. Haven’t worked on it all summer and now winter is fast approaching, I better better blow of the dust and cobwebs and keep going!

Slow going  — 11 months ago

I saw my mum yesterday, but I totally forgot to take my kintting along for her to fix up :( Now I will have to wait longer to get it back. I suppose my scarf won’t be ready to wear until next winter. Oh well.

I got my mum to teach me how to knit when I visited her on the weekend and I should be able to do something basic soon. I am getting a bit faster too! But I think I will wait until next time I visit her so she can fix any mistakes I make on the way… which are sure to happen.

Worth doing!

It feels so good to wear something you’ve made yourself! Only gripe is that I made mine with storebought yarn. Imagine how crazy you’d feel if you did everything yourself, from start to finish. Wow. But for now, I’m marking this off with my $5.99 balls from Lincraft. ;)

I'm now an addict  — 2 years ago

Worth doing!

I’m pretty much addicted to knitting now. It’s hard to avoid the yarn shop…
