learn fencing

I always liked fencing and swordfighting. Although fencing is not swordfighting, it’s a physical activity I’m interested in. There’s a class at my college, and I’m thinking of taking it. 3 years ago

Started a few weeks ago. Fencing attracts people from all kinds of backgrounds and interests so I’ve found that very interesting. Has given my legs a huge workout so far and I thought I was in decent shape :D….it is enjoyable and I picture myself as Zorro or the count of Monte Cristo! 4 years ago

I read The Speed of dark by Elizabeth Moon recently, and I really wanted to take up fencing afterwards. I will probably have forgotten all about this wish in a few weeks :) 5 years ago

I’m so exhausted! I just came from our second fencing lesson and I feel so lost. I know that I can’t be master right away, but I think I suck a big time. We got the equipments today and I have to say that I am a bit disappointed; those aren’t as neat as the “real” fencers have. The jacket was way too big and the épée wasn’t that good condition either. Yeah, I am making a big deal for nothing here :D

Anyway the fencing is still nice. However if I don’t start to be better, I won’t continue it. Yeah, patience isn’t my strongest game. Next week we get to fight each others :) I’m sure that will be lot of fun! 5 years ago

We had today the first lecture of fencing :) It was quite fun even we just learned the right position (I don’t know what it’s english, that when you stand still…) And we learned to walk :)

Next week we get equipments and the sword and learn some basic attacking and defensing. 5 years ago

The registration to fencing course started today! Hurray! I am now one step closer to fencing lessons. And my friend hasn’t chicken it out (yet) :D Now I just wait 2 weeks for the course to start :) 5 years ago
