cedricmillsFind time for drawing

I am normally so busy with work, kids and exercise that I have little or no time for drawing. I found that I was drawing maybe once or twice every few months, yet I always had time for a movie or TV show. So I made the decision to carry a sketch pad everywhere and cut out TV devoting that time to drawing. I also want to make the transition from paper to digital using a Wacom. 1 month ago

So I’ve been drawing free-hand for a very looong time, but I had stopped at some point due to a lot of personal issues and I lost motivation =( I’m trying to get back into it and sharpen my skills further and beyond. It will take some time and more practice, but I’ll get there. 1 month ago

stacybee92Perfectionist

I have finished emily van camp but I think I will have to go back to it at a later date as I’m not happy with her face. I have now started drawing Robert Downey jr 3 months ago

ChelseysChapterDefinitely enjoyable!

I really look forward to drawing lately, because I can see myself improving, and I try out new things and techniques. I uploaded last years pencil drawings, and lately I’m practising with my tablet a lot, and I really love how I get so caught up with it. I whip out a music playlist, livestream for a couple of friends, and get started on the drawing, while they sometimes point out something that looks wrong, so I can change it accordingly, or compliment me, which is really fun. I was never able to get satisfied by drawing before, which is probably why I didn’t enjoy it a lot. I always got pretty grumpy as I just wish I was better, but couldn’t find the motivation to improve, while looking at all these amazing creations. But nowadays I look forward to drawing because I know it’s enjoyable and rewarding! I can’t say I like my style enough currently, to stick to it. I’m really developing my own style still, I can’t wait to improve even more!

I know it’s not a lot yet, and it may not be to your tastes, but I’m pretty happy with my progress so far. 10 months ago

Lost WayfarerI have been working on this

May 9, 2012

Doodling is not the same as drawing. I always doodle my little designs on things – envelopes, notes, letters, etc. But I haven’t really sat down and drawn in a long while.

I did a bit of drawing Monday and Tuesday night. Mostly working on facial features on my elf character that I just created for RIFTS. I haven’t drawn a human or a human-like figure in a while. I am very very rusty. And since I don’t have a proper sketch pad, I have just been using a regular note book.

I am struggling with making my faces looking realistic and natural enough for my tastes. So right now, I am just sketching faces over and over again, to get a look that I like. In the next couple days, I will be doing some body styles and clothing styles.

I need to find my drawing book that helps me draw the human body that my mother sent me years ago. I think it would really help me “brush up” on my drawing skills.

This is quite relaxing to be drawing again, after so long. 12 months ago

I always remembered to have liked to draw, but I’ve never given proper time as an adult for this activity.
I’ve a big margin to improvement and I think it would give me some confidence if I was drawing a little more, beaucse when I’m confronted to draw something I’ve never drawn, I always arrive to a not-too-bad result. 13 months ago
