I got my results in and its a 2.1 for me. Im reasonably happy about this, to be honest, i dont think i deserved a 1st anyhow- i was just letting myself dream a little.
Go me- im a graduate :)

Well im into my third year with out any retakes, marks are not looking to great though. I figured out that i need to get 70 in every third year module to get a 1st. Is it possible? i hope so. I think i have a long long road ahead of me…..
I have become apathetic, to a certain extent. I got 61% for my second year, or the first year that actually counted towards my degree.
I initially want to make excuses. I got 40% on one of my modules. I would have got an overall average of 64% if it hadn’t been for blasted Biblical Hebrew. But then again, making excuses is so twentieth-century, because everyone knows it’s all about blaming someone else these days. I cannot fall back on this one, because I could have worked harder, paid more attention, adopted better revision techniques prior to the exam, etc, etc. Even if I hadn’t messed that module up, 64% isn’t even that close to the 70% I need to get a first anyway.
Part of me feels like the heat is on. I’d need to get 79% next year to get a first. I feel like that’s one of those mountains that I just can’t climb.
So the question changes. What is realistic? I’d like to get 65% for my degree overall, so I can console myself with the thought that at least I’ve got a GOOD 2:1.
So there. It’s all about pruning the old plans, repainting them and making them sit a little better on your hips.
I’d still love to get a first, though. Je sulke.

i am about to sit down and take my first metaphorical steps to getting a first. Im going to revise….properly, ive managed 1 lecture out of about 60. Let the countdown commence. Ususally i manage to finish revising my lectures the day before the exam or even on the day of the exam. Time are changing though kid, you gotta shape up you gotta understand.

i started studying for my exams today which are more than a month away. This is a record for me, i never study this far ahead. Go me!

im averaging a 2:1 which i suppose isnt too bad, i know i can do better because my focus hasnt been entirely on my work (i have alot of extracurricular responsibilites)but im optomistic for the future!
I’ve missed a loada lectures which is rubbish but I’m determined to start anew now…I’m doing Law so there’s a high workload which sucks but it’ll be all good :)

The first thing I propose we all do is do an action plan, OR do a ‘Think and Grow Rich’ style 6 step plan as I am doing:
1) Fix in your mind the EXACT result you want
2) Determine what you intend to give in return for this result
3) Establish (a) definite date(s) you when you intend to possess this result.
4) Create a DEFINITE PLAN and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action
5) Write out a clear concise statement of all the above
6) Read the written statement out aloud, twice daily, on awaking and before going to bed – AS YOU READ SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE RESULT
Step 4 is where we work as a mastermind:
As a mastermind we MUST meet online at least twice weekly via MSN/yahoo/ICQ/IRC until we have perfected our plan; to work in harmony with each other, pooling our knowledge and power to achieve this result together.
It seems appropriate to set up a private message board after we have established our group, but I think its best to establish ourselves on this thread first. So…
First Action
Let’s post our Plans on here to start with, simply to get us started.

Well, I got my first year marks back yesterday. I’m only moderately comfortable with the 63% I got… I know that sounds awful but I am a perfectionist. Grr!
