Argentina has started off great so far. This time I decided to hook up with something immediately so I wouldn’t waste my time looking around for things to do or people to meet. Did a thing called http://www.dayclickerphototours.com/ to start out. Great choice. I did a photo session in San Telmo which was a cool little part and great to shoot, but I also did a bar and parilla night with Amelia and some friends of hers. Honestly, the place looked like it was going to suck. I wasn’t expecting much, but the food was really good. Never would guess it looking at the place because it doesn’t look like much. After many bottles of wine we hit the bars. Fun night!
If you are like me you might want to try Buenos Aires Football Amigos http://www.fcbafa.com/en (yes I brought my gear with me). Played my first game with them and the are a good group of guys. Most are pretty skilled too. (thanks for the rec Mike) It’s the only real exercise I get and you need some when you eat and drink so much. other than exploring more of the city, bars and restaurants I have 2 other for sure things to do here so far. Casa Mun and 0800 Vino. Love food and wine. Thanks for the recs Amelia! 15 months ago
I visited Argentina because i’d heard so many things about the food, culture, music (tango mainly), but i had no idea what to expect. It’s an amazing country, with so much to offer in terms of wildlife and nature but it was Buenos Aires that i fell in love with the most. I loved the nightlife (they’re pretty crazy here and stay out until 8 in the morning or even later on weekends!), they even have a Pacha there Pacha Buenos Aires, i also loved just wondering the streets looking at the beautfiful and quite european architecture and some great grafiti all over the city (it seems grafiti is quite accepted in BA!) Grafitti Mundo. I went on a Foto Tour Foto Ruta which was great way to explore the city in a bit more depth…
My favourite cafe was La Poesia in San Telmo..i used to spend hours there just chilling with my book and eating Medilunas!! 19 months ago
One of my best friends lives there – I want to make sure I get there before she’s gone. 2 years ago
I am thinking of delaying my trip to Argentina until next year due to both financial and time constraints. 3 years ago
Ok…Argentina is big. LOL. I am seriously considering breaking my trip down to seeing less of the country and become more focus on the Northern half…or maybe the southern half since it is melting away. 4 years ago
I realistically think I could complete Argentina for under $5K!
FLights at the moment are only $1200 MAX return with a carrier like QANTAS. That’s fantastic!!!
I believe the universe is pushing me towards this. :D 4 years ago
