AwaywiththefairiesI feel...

I’ve progressed well with this goal in the last week. I have watched No soaps or anything which doesn’t interest me or add to my well-being….well I have watched the odd episode of sponge but that was purely for bonding time with the children.
Tonight I’m watching Eat, Love & Pray and although I’ve seen it before, I’d like to see it again. It is Friday night after all and it is educating me on Buddhism. :-D 21 months ago

Awaywiththefairiesi'm pondering .....

Whether to unplug the Tv during the day. The girls just turn it on whenever I turn it off. It’s like they have to have background noise even when they’re busy doing other things. But at the same time, I don’t want to make it a big thing with them. I’m not planning to ban the Tv just drastically cut it down. It’s a little ridiculous!! 21 months ago

Collectorofcats Untitled

I’ve discovered I don’t watch as much television when my husband isn’t at home. I manage to turn the T.V. off when I am not watching a specific program. He isn’t up yet, so the T.V. has remained turned off. I realised it is not my problem. In other words, I’ve accomplised this goal. 5 years ago

Collectorofcats It really Makes a Difference

I really do clean my house faster with the television off so it doesn’t distract me from my goal: a cleaner house. 6 years ago

Burning ThirteenDidn't even realize it

I was just going through my list of things for the first time in a while and realized that I have done this. I can only think of a few days in the last few months that I have watched any television and those were football games. Pointless to some, but they are fun to watch now and then. In any case, I’ve done this. Strangely enough I’ve started writing a book during that same time. :) 6 years ago

hippie1427stopped

I find that 4 years in college, with a full time job, basically killed my tolerance of the idiot box. I can not watch tv for months, turn it on, be excited about the new commercials, then, within 30 mins to an hour, I’m sick of the repetitiveness of the same commercials over and over. add to that the sucky programming, and I’m off this wagon. still, I do like to watch fox sunday nights for family guy and american dad if I remember to tune in, and I do BUY south park and the simpsons, but the rest of it, I can do without 6 years ago

GregDown to roughly an hour a week

Family Guy/Simpsons is pretty much it. I still watch DVDs but since I can just take it out if it feels like a time suck, I’m taking back my life from the idiot box! YAY! 6 years ago

AbsnasmI submit. It's the shit pump.

I’m now watching almost no TV at all. I’ve watched maybe two or three hours in the last week – a jaw-dropping car-crash documentary about polyamory and a couple of Big Brothers when people have been around. It made me twitchy, like I was wasting my time. If I ever live alone, or with someone who feels the same way about telly, it’s going straight out of the window, rock ‘n’ roll rampage style. I don’t like it, I don’t need it, and I don’t want it. 6 years ago
