I’ve donate blood and money (but not blood money—sorry, bad pun) in the past. While most people think of disaster relief when they think of the Red Cross, the organization also aids military men and women, for example, through its emergency notification program.

So worth it. I’m also a volunteer now. I volunteered to help the evacuees in our area last week and am going back twice next week.

I donated blood today. The line was long, but worth it! I’ve also given money to them and volunteered.
I just donated some $$ to the Red Cross for hurricane relief. Network for Good (http://www.networkforgood.org) provides an easy way to donate to multiple organizations. I also gave some $$ to the Louisiana SPCA for their animal rescue efforts. I wish I could do more—I feel so helpless for those people and animals.
what these people are going through. I hope and pray they can recover from this. I don’t have much to give, but I’m giving what I can.
I might be a long distance from where this hardship is taking pleace, but at least this way I can actually contribute to helping…
