I worked on it for about a half an hour, before my hand got tired and I quit for the night. I can’t believe how bulky it has gotten from all that I have done so far. It will be lovely once it is down.
I was thinking it would be lovely to have it done by Canna’s birthday on August 27th, kind of a tribute to his lovely life. I really miss that big Orange monster.
So my completion date I am striving for is August 27, 2012. 15 months ago

I did a couple of stitches after I got down untangling the last of three skeins of yarn. It wasn’t much, but at least it was something. Of course, I will work on it more and more as the days go on. 15 months ago

I found my G crochet hook! You wouldn’t believe where it was. It was on my night stand beside my Bible. I found it when I went to move it to put my laptop. I must have put it there so I wouldn’t lose it.
So, I can start crocheting a row starting Friday, March 23, 2012. Now, I just have to get in a routine of working on it a little bit each day, regardless how warm it gets. It is only going to get done if I work on it, and not finding excuses on why I haven’t been working on it.

I didn’t find it behind my bed or under my bed. I have no idea where it is. I think it was a G hook, so I might have to buy another one, because I know I don’t have another one that size. I only used a bigger hook, because it is a 3 strand blanket and I felt it would work better then the one I usually use, which is a blue metal size J (its smaller then the size G)
If I don’t find it by Friday, March 23, I might go buy one at Walmart, because I can get one pretty cheap. 15 months ago

Gah! I lost my hook that I was working on this blanket with. I think it was a G hook. I really have to start documenting these things in a little notebook. A notebook that will laid down what type of hook or needle I was using, what is the name of the stitch, as well as a cope of the pattern (so if I ever lose it, I will have it there) as well as the name of the yarn.
I didn’t get a chance to check behind my bed, which if it came out of the blanket, it might have went there.
Guess what I will be doing when I work on this goal tomorrow? LOL15 months ago

I have neglected this project for so long, regardless over the winter I have worked on it, and then only to allow it to lay at the foot of my bed, just like Canna did. Since it is getting warmer, I had to move the blanket off my bed last night and get all the tangled yarn together and find the crochet hook that fell out of the weaving of the blanket.
I plan of working on a row of it tomorrow late at night, once I have working on my other goals. 15 months ago

I have worked on the lovely Canna blanket several times last week. I finished off the Gold and the Pumpkin Orange on Saturday (October 16,2010) while I was visiting my brother, Chris Ray. I added the new skeins and continued to work on it. I crocheted until I ran out of varigated Sandy Print, as I didn’t bring the new skein with me. My brother thought the Canna blanket was really interesting.
I added the new skein of Sandy Print on Monday and started crocheting once again. I didn’t work on it Sunday, October 17, 2010 as I was back in Columbus visiting my brother and getting ready to see the President of the United States. It was Awesome.
I should be working on it again tonight. I am pushing myself to work on it every day if I can, even if it is just a few stitches.

On Sunday, October 10, 2010, I bought three new skeins of yarn for the Canna blanket (Carrot Orange, Gold and verigated Sandy Print)plus a skein of the Camouflage for another blanket that I finished awhile ago and thought about adding another skein or two to it.
I haven’t worked on the Canna Blanket since last week, but I am going to work on it a bit this week, as I am trying to get into the habit of working on it at night, while I am watching/listening to TV. It is a routine that I am trying to get into, as I have four blankets I am working on (Canna blanket, Ocean Waves blanket, and restarted Camo blanket and black blanket that I am thinking about embroidering something on it.)
I am busy, busy, busy with crocheting and my new goals! 2 years ago

I picked up my Canna blanket and remembered how much he was a buddy to me. I called him Buddy all the time. I worked on it Saturday night and Sunday night as well.
It was lovely to look at the wonderful blends of Carrot Orange, Gold and verigated tan in the crocheted blanket. The colors remind me so much of his fur.
I still missed him so very much. I miss his funny sounding purr and his odd like cry when he talked to me. But I miss the most, how he would try to climb is 15 pound body onto my little lap when he wanted to be affectionate and be close to me. I miss him alot right now, since there is so much in my life that makes me sad. He was such a wonderful supporting and loving cat when he was alive.
When I was working on the blanket last night, I let Lamareoux in my bedroom to keep me company for a while. She sat on the blanket and kneeded her little paws into it and I had a hard time getting her off of it, as if she knew whose blanket it was. She was purring up a storm when she looked up several times to the little shelf that Canna’s ashes were placed. That made me feel that she knew that she best friend was up there on that shelf even thought he was gone.
I am going to try to work on it every night if I have the yarn for it. I would love to finish it before Canna’s 1st Journey’s day (The day I had to put them to sleep)come around. 2 years ago

I am going to working on this blanket today. I talked to my mother the other day and told her that I really missed my buddy. The weather is getting nicer, and he was always the one that liked to sit by the door. He sometimes would escape to the outside. I never worried too much about him since he just loved to sit out in the grass. And he loved to ride in the car, so going to the vet was never an issue with him. If I opened the door, he would hop right in and check it out. LOL
I still can’t believe that he is gone. My first Spring without my Orange tiger king.
I really miss his presence in my life. My mother said it will take a long time. She told me that it took her about 10 years to get over our dog, Gottlieb. I know she still thinks about him and the compaionship he gave her.
I know that it will take a long while for me to get over my Buddy boy. I really miss his funny meow he had when he talked to me. I guess that is one reason why I am working on the blanket. It reminds me of him.
I will work on it in my lap while I watch TV, just like he would sit in my lap when I would watch TV. LOL3 years ago
