Yesterday I bumped into a friend who said he would work with us on a music video. This would be a good first foray into film making! 14 months ago

I’ve wanted to do this for so long but I’ve constantly put it off, I’m sure it’s due to fear. This is the year I will finally buckle down and do something about it. 16 months ago

Well I’m now writing this out on my new laptop =]
I’m about to upload my editing software, which I can hopefully use to create videos, and to perhaps even make a short film outside of my college time :)

I am alone, and incapable of editing this video alone; I have never been anywhere close to editing a video before >_<

There is supposed to be someone from my group helping me, but their “bus is late”, and I cannot find our footage anywhere .. and this computer has no sound …

For my Media Studies and Film Studies courses we have been encouraged to create some practical work.

One of these is to create a Sweding film clip from the film Fight Club. This means that basically we have to recreate a scene/ scenes from the film using anything we can. So we’re doing the Chemical Burn scene =)

And for Media Studies we are doing a subvert. This basically means that we’re going to turn a well known advert into one which sends across exactly the opposite of the producers ideologies ..etc…
For this me and my group are doing a subvert of the McDonalds adverts, in specific at their sponsorship of The Olympic Games.

A friend of mine is a film major at a local college and he makes a horror movie every summer that he enters into local film festivals. This summer he did a movie about a boy with quick progressing rabies attacking the townspeople and eventually his own family. They filmed for a week at various locations in East Tennessee. I had the pleasure of doing makeup for the movie. This involved a large dog bite, bullet wound to the forehead, making the boy look sick, and other various wounds involving blood. The fact that the heat and humidity in East TN sucks it was a very interesting process. 23 months ago
