This is going to happen within the next couple of months. While it may be sooner, my aim right now is Thanksgiving weekend. It’s going to be a significant weekend for me, and I’d like to do this then as well in the hopes that it will be part of someone’s wig by Christmas/ New Year. (I’ve read it takes approximately 4-5 weeks to make one.) 8 months ago

Truthfully, I could do it now.
Pantene’s ‘Beautiful Lengths’ donation program accepts 8 inch ponytails as long as the hair hasn’t been dyed (mine hasn’t since I’ve started growing it to donate). I could do this one right now, and have a pretty chic bob for Christmas!
or
The official Locks of Love program accepts ponytails 10 inches or greater in length and the hair can be dyed and/or processed. Technically right now, I could do this too but my hair would be really short like…1920s flapper bob short. I’m not quite willing to do that lol
It’s nice to know I’m finally getting into donation range! Although, I’m not sure when I’ll donate. (Part of me still wants to have long hair for my wedding; no idea when that will be, but it took me 3.5 years to grow it this long and I’d hate to chop it off then in a year get engaged lol) 2 years ago

I could donate it now, but it would be prettty short for me. Honestly, I’d like to keep it longer for a while, but I need to find something to do with it. It hangs very flat now that I don’t dye it (I’m donating to a different charity this time) and is just driving me crazy! 2 years ago

I grew my hair super long for Locks of Love a couple of years ago, and then chopped it off into a super cute bob. But, I found that was kind of a lot of work to keep up with and expensive to keep getting it cut/dyed/etc…so I made a big decision (for me at the time) to dye my hair back to its natural color (from blonde highlights to just a darker honey blond. It might even be classified as “bronde” brown/blonde because it’s a pretty dark dirty blonde color…but anyways) and I also decided to grow it out again.
I have one basic idea. I would like to grow it out to donate obviously (I’m a couple of inches short of being able to donate it now…I’ve been growing it out for a couple of years) but I also would like to have long hair for my-theoretically soon- wedding. I have an idea that I’ll grow it out, have it all done up for my wedding…then after the ceremony and before the reception, I’ll get it cut off to donate. Start a new life, with a new haircut, and say goodbye to my ‘single’ life with a donation.
Seeing as that is probably still a couple of years away…I’ll probably donate it as soon as it’s viable…and then grow it out again! 2 years ago
