I was finally able to get a brand new car in Feb, 2013. I NEVER expected to be able to own a new car at 25 years old, but everything just worked out and my husband and I were able to make it work! It’s such a relief not to have to rely on him to take me to work or wherever I need to go that isn’t metro accessible. I LOVE my new car. I’m thrilled that I can check this off my list, as it’s WAY earlier than I ever thought it would be!!! 2 months ago

And yesterday when he called me back, he said he had a likely car. He’s going to get info on the condition and call me back today.

I wish I knew more about cars. It would make looking for a stupid vehicle much easier. I also wish I didn’t have to keep diving into my savings to keep up with rent and bills. What to do, what to do? I’m super duper excited to buy a car I can’t afford, you don’t even know. 2 months ago

in the price range I was given. You know what you can find out here for under 5000? Cars with audible rattles, cars with over 200,000 miles, and cars that get 10 mpg.
Brought this info back to the funders and got a larger budget but it’s still taking a while. I went to the credit unions car finding service and they’re looking.
Better them than me because I hate it so much I’m always tempted to buy any old thing just to be done with looking. And that always works out so well, right? 2 months ago

My 2005 Forester got creamed by an SUV on Monday. I’m in a rental right now and this city has an awesome public transit system, but it’s literally impossible for me to do my job without my own car. I’ve never bought one before (the two cars I’ve owned were both given to me by my awesome parents) so this is, shall we say, very scary.
I’m going with CarMax because I’m terrible at haggling. Looking at another Forester soon… hoping this all goes as smoothly as possible. They have to transfer it from another location but it’s still pretty far away and I need to find someone to go there with me…
