Move to NYC

I’m from New York, now I live in Georgia, I been living in GA for the past 8 years, I’m a single mom and I work but don’t make too much money, and sometimes I feel that I wont be able to save enough money to move back since NY is expensive I need encouragement, to get to this goal. 12 months ago

Nyc….is the best place, to make dreams happen. I wanna go and pursue my dreams that.i.ve had since 8 15 months ago

So, I’m going to NYC. As in, an eight day long trip. It’s not exactly your move forever, but, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. It’ll be fun at least. Wish me luck!!! 18 months ago

Our lease starts September 1st. We will be staying in East Harlem on 109th st & 2nd ave.

We have a 2 bedroom 1 bath for $1,225!

Guys I was initially supposed to move to NYC 2 days ago.. but things fell apart the DAY BEFORE! :(

Thankfully things are coming back together but what a stressed out week it has been!

I live in a small city in Ireland and I hate it.I would love nothing more than to move to the big city.I always felt that I was just here by default and NYC is where I belong.Maybe I’m wrong but I want to find out 2 years ago

I’m 28 & from a small town in Pennsylvania, approx 7 hrs from NYC. From the time I was a small child I’ve had no other dream other than to move to NYC and work in the fashion industry. However I feel that no one close to me has supported this dream. I think about it constantly, and truly believe that this is my life’s calling. It’s really hard when you want something, and everyone you care about has a certain way of thinking you should live. The traditional buying a house, having a family, and getting married has never appealed to me. So I thought, and I thought hard. Just because this is what rural America does, does not mean I have to. I have approx 4 months and made the decision yesterday that I am FINALLY going to go. This is NOT going to be easy, but I have never wanted anything more in my life. I hope that angels look out for me, and my pride & intelligence will guide me through this journey. I also hope that if you’re having this internal debate such as this, that this may inspired you to follow your gut. I wish I would have a lot earlier. 2 years ago

My husband is applying to grad school in NYC, but even if he doesn’t get it we’ve decided we’re still moving by August 2011. We have 8 months to make it happen. We’ve been saving and I’ve been looking for jobs and trying to establish contacts. The hardest part is waiting! 2 years ago
