This is Vin Diesel at his best in a movie that’s about the worst (you’ve ever seen). It’s a poor man’s Children of Men, only without the intelligence or gravitas.

March of the Penguins, and Leathernecks.
March of the Penguins is stunningly beautiful, and the addition to the DVD, the documentary on how they filmed the spectacle, is equally so.
Leatherheads is an unfocussed mess, even with George Clooney and Renee Zellweger.

I didn’t know what to expect from this western starring Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson. The whole plot is one man chasing another, and watching Brosnan’s character survive one wilderness challenge after another. It’s really compelling, but rather long and drawn-out.

This movie has a great cast and is a high school replay of the highly sophisticated movie, Dangerous Liaisons… only without the clever repartee or even the crucial plot points.

Talk about carnage! Robert Rodriguez’ homage to horror films (not the classics like Frankenstein, but the horrible, cheap ones from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s) is over the top terrible and funny, all at the same time.

This is not the horrible Ang Lee version. This is the pretty-decent Edward Norton version.

An interesting movie, which used photo capture to tell the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It starts out like Joe Vs. the Volcano, with our nebbish in a horrible office job, but then explodes. These action scenes are just so innovative. I’ve never seen anything like them before.
