i can’t believe i didn’t take this off of my list a long time ago. i was not getting fit whatsoever. but now, i’ve started exercising. i eat better. my only goals right now are completing a youtube workout every day. after i get good at it, i’m going to do another. it’s on hasfit’s channel. is this a good idea for now, considering i wasn’t doing anything for quite a while? 2 days ago

The last two weeks I have been going to the gym 3-4 times each week and find going to fitness classes to be the best for me! Body Pump is tough but rewarding! 2 weeks ago
I’ve been doing a little bit of exercise with hand weights each night while watching TV. Have to remember to stretch afterwards. 3 weeks ago
Had my first physical in about five years last week and everything was pretty good. Overall cholesterol is a bit high at 218, but the doc isn’t worried because my other scores are good. But I take this as a sign to stop eating so much bacon fat. We buy the good organic bacon and save the rendered fat in a little jelly jar in the fridge. I like to use it to “lubricate” frozen veggies and stir fries, but I should probably switch to a better oil.
I asked the doc about my vertigo, and she thinks I have an inner ear infection, which may take 6-8 weeks to clear up.
The better news is that my wife had her physical too, and came out better than me (lower cholesterol). She tends to worry a lot about her health, so getting a clean bill should help alleviate some stress.
My next challenge is getting in shape before a major home improvement project I’m tackling before Thanksgiving so I won’t be in major pain. It involves a lot of work lifting and working on things over my head, so I want to do some daily exercises to build up my arms. 3 weeks ago
Interesting story from BBC about how standing a few more hours a day can really improve your health.
I’m going to give it a try. 1 month ago
Yeah, I walk a bit. Sometimes I stretch. Earlier this year I bought a child’s hula hoop, but haven’t used it in months. I work in the yard/garden, but I’m very sore afterwards.
Every New Year I resolve to get fit, but it only lasts a few weeks or months.
I need to find and stick with some kind of training/activity to get and stay in shape for the rest of my life. I’m thinking it’s yoga, but I don’t have money for classes. We have some yoga videos that I haven’t watched in a long time. Maybe I need to get back to those.
I have a birthday coming up later this month. Maybe that’s a good milestone to start from. 1 month ago
Abandoned plans to do an epic mountain bike ride and just recovered this weekend after a tiring and stressful week. 2 months ago
There are a lot of things working against me and my battle with the growing belly. Getting older (ill be 39 next week), I stopped drinking coffee, I drink alcohol every night, I don’t exercise, and my eating habits are not that ideal. Lately I’ve been sluggish, lathargic and at times depressed. My pants that I recently bought, that were upgraded to a size 32 waist from 30 are now really tight. I refuse to buy more clothes as I hate shopping. That’s it. I’m done.
Today I bought another membership to a gym. I already have one with 24hr fitness but I make excuses that its too far. This gym is only 2 miles away. I plan on working out 3-4x week. I’ve decided to just drink on my weekends and be more conscientious of what I put in my mouth.
My goal is to lose the gut and fit in my size 30 pants by the end of the year – then ill cross this goal off my list. 4 months ago
Found a picture from when I was working out every day and cut out chips and soda. I looked great and I felt great too. I’ve been trying to remember the workout routine I was doing. So… Here it is.
Intense cardio 3 days
Full body resistance bands 2 days
45 min yoga 1 day.
Such a simple routine and I lead on point.
The only thing I HAVE to fix is nutrition. 4 months ago
