I think that while I will never have washboard abs, if I continue the 3 times a week yoga, my core strength and posture will improve. I already am sliding out of pants without a belt… so I’m definitely reducing the waist size, even though I don’t seem to be losing much weight. Yoga is slowly transforming my jelly into strength. It’s incredible the damage that years of sedentary office work can do! What would I look like right now if I hadn’t taken up yoga a year ago…I can’t even imagine! 16 months ago

My dedication to this goal seems to come in spurts. I’ve been on the road a lot this summer with work which makes it really hard to control my diet (I gained 5 lbs the first two weeks on the road before I smartened up!). Since then I’ve been more consistent with my diet choices and I am making progress… I refuse to quit this goal. 21 months ago

I think my goal of doing yoga regularly is going to lead to better posture and a flatter stomach. If not, maybe I’ll start adding ab exercises in a month or two. 2 years ago

I’ve been working at my exercise routine/healthy eating plan for almost a month now. I’ve seen results, but not where I want them. I lost an inch in my hips, but my stomach hasn’t changed too much. I’m very confused, though. Some days my stomach looks like it’s getting flatter, and other days (such as today) it looks very bulgy at the bottom bit. I’m already very skinny naturally, plus I have a small frame, but I just have this blasted fat. It’s giving me a skewed perception of my body, making me not want to eat when I know I should. I still do eat, but I end up passing by some of my favourite foods.
Today I logged my food into SparkPeople for the first time in forever, and I noticed that protein is only making up 10% of my diet! I’m thinking that this may be my barrier. I think I should keep tracking and try getting all of my nutrients, and see what happens. Wish me luck- I want to have a flat stomach for summer, but sooner if possible! 2 years ago

but I’ve started to be a bit annoyed with my “belly”.
I’ve always wanted to get a flat stomach, but now I want it to happen RIGHT NOW.
The thing is that there’s only 2 weeks left before our wedding, and the dress I’m going to wear is very beautiful, but it also tend to emphasize my belly. And – well – I don’t want to make a big deal out of this wedding-thingy – but still I really really want to look my best. Susanne said to me that “no matter what you will always look beautiful at your own wedding”, and I see her point – but still…
I can’t really figure out if my weight-loss have affected my belly, actually I can’t really see the big difference, but I guess that comes from looking myself in the mirror everyday.
I know that something has happened, the dress Im’ going to wear didn’t fit me half a year ago, so no doubt that about thar.
I know that I can’t get a flat stomach in 2 weeks, but I can always try ;-)
So: Sit-ups, sit-ups and more sit-ups :-) 2 years ago

I should take some pictures of my lovely belly so I can compare it and see if anything is actually happening?
My “diet” thingy will hopefully help me to get rid of the small “bump”, and maybe I should also focus on some more sit-ups and stuff like that? 2 years ago
