Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

10 More Things To Do to Stay Young Forever!5 years ago

withinyouwithoutyouyoung forever - literally

I literally want to stay young forever. I’ve spent hours looking into studies, trials, and research about keeping cells young and creating perfect health for the body. It’s speculated that treatments will be introduced to the general public within 20 years, which means teenagers now could be practically frozen at 35 until death. And to top it off, due to the fact that your body will be younger for longer, it can extend your life up to age 150 and beyond.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I definitely want in. 5 years ago

whahappenIt's Easier Than You Think

Staying youthful means to live fully every day. Don’t waste time and energy on petty issues and negative people (that will definitely make you old and cranky). Unleash your inner child.

Laugh always (especially at yourself), learn something new, keep up with pop culture, and remember all the good times in the past. Remind yourself to keep creating hilarious new memories.

Always be goofy and spread the fun to everyone you meet. For more tips on Surviving Adulthood for the Kid at Heart, visit my blog. I’d love to chat with you -

iamtylerloosing game

enjoy that feeling, it fades quicker than is fair. only 28 & though i know i’m still 18 at heart, the world weighs down on you more & more every year & the feeling of youth is squashed. People around you become old & moulded by society & responsibilities. Before you realise it, you’ve stopped doing the things you used to do & find yourself looking at “younger” people having fun & wondering when you stopped. It’s the routine that ages people, -work & relationships become stale & it effects the mind.
The only way to stop getting old is to keep life interesting, -do different things, jobs, meet new people, travel, keep young friends.
best of luck ;) 6 years ago

So, I don’t just want to feel/act/think like a young person for the rest of my life, I don’t actually want to age at all. I want to be in the range on 18 to 22 for the rest of my life. I have no real responsibility, I have endless familial support, all of my friends are in a similar situation so we don’t have to worry about much except classes and having fun. Also, I’m past the point where I’m kind of learning how to be a real person (for the most part) yet I still have raging hormones, as do all of my peers, which I do kind of enjoy. Honestly, I don’t know why anyone would want to grow up. 7 years ago

UrbanInupiaqworth striving for

I hope I never have to worry for long or become afraid to meet new people or to do new things. I want my mind to continue to tackle new thoughts, ideas and problems with a “bring it on” attitude. I hope I am physically able to compete with people half my age into the near future. I would enjoy laughing every day for the rest of my life. 8 years ago

Let’s keep up that mental energy now so that when we do have to get older we can still be driven to make the most of our lives! 8 years ago

thewicked1Staying Young

I don’t want to grow up, never have and never will. I am 12 (going on 13) and I want to grow until I hit…14 or so and then stop. That’s as far as I wanna grow. 8 years ago
