I think this is one of those things that is best taught by example. The other day my son was having a hard time.. adjusting to this new place. He is 8 and started to cry. My brother told him to stop that he is not a baby..
So the first lesson I hope it was good. I told him, baby it is okay to cry to let all the sadness out. We need to talk about all this, yes there are some tough times here and it may not seem good all the time. Then I got him to tell me good things about us moving. Things that made him happy.. Before long the tears dried and the smile returned. Him and I both resolved to look for more good. It is tough being a parent when you don’t have all the answers 7 years ago
