FroggileeKitten Spayed - Still no insurance yet for Toby or Lucy

I got around to getting my kitten spayed and had her micro chipped also in case she ever escaped the house (she’s a strictly inside kitty). I still have to buy insurance though and I want to buy insurance for one of the 3 dachshunds in the house. My boyfriend and I split the cost for one of the dachshunds that I inherited from my mother when she died and he takes care of the bills for the other two doxies that he had before we met. Toby, the dog I inherited, is a little shit and enjoys destruction as well as being slovenly; he feels that the house we live in is his urinal. Anyhow, I’m worried he’s going to digest something he destroys someday and I don’t want to worry about how to pay for such an incident. One of the other dachshunds has already had to go to the vet for eating a squeaker which came with a high bill.

I’m hoping to get vet insurance for them both through VIP on my next paycheck on the 15th this month. The cost isn’t too much; about $45-$50/month. Having it will at least settle my mind a bit. 14 months ago

FroggileeVPI seems to be the Winner

I’ve checked out different insurances but the one that seems best and was recommended by my vet is VPI pet insurance. I’m most likely going to get just the emergency insurance for her.

My cat, Lucy, will be about $19 per month. My boyfriend – Gian – and I also have 3 dachshunds between the two of us, and I will also be getting insurance for the younger one, Toby, who is about 5 yrs old. The other two are seniors, 11 and 10 yrs, and Gian will have to be in charge of getting their insurance. Toby will be about $25 per month.

The reason I’m wanting to get insurance is because one of the dachshunds, Snoop Dog (the stupidest of the three dogs), last year swallowed one of those squeakers found in squeaky toys. Several thousand $ later, the dog was fine but if Gian had gotten insurance, about 83% would have been paid for. 16 months ago
