Yonjaafter august

Well, actually i didn’t do much for this goal, but my life forced me to change something, take action and adventure.
I used to think i will always live in E, do the same job, work in same company, but in august

  1. i moved to another city
  2. i found another job
  3. i have an idea to make my own business
  4. talked to one of my friend to become co-workers
  5. my new job is (how can i say?) good, calm, not so stressfull
  6. my co-workers are (for now) extremely sweet
  7. i dont want to do this job forever but i am sure i will learn much from this job

Actually, august is the most active month of past few years.
I didnt do anything special, but what i experienced in august is really related with the goal.

Thank you sweet August, you really made me happy and calm. 8 months ago

TheDoctorGirlProgress Over All:

I missed the last few days of entries, but I won’t bore you by putting them in now. They’re pretty repetitive of everything else. So here’s the overall results of the month.

Action:
-Learn a new dance=Completed this by learning the Electric slide.
-Eat less than x amount of calories for the entire month=Despite falling off the band wagon on this many, many times, I made it with four hundred calories to spare.
-Exercise at least once a day=I did this, although I didn’t always exercise a lot.
-Run at least once a week=Completed this one.
Adventure:
-Finish summer bucket list=Not quite so good on this one, but I think I completed more than I would’ve without listing it here.
-Write a wish on a balloon and let it go=Didn’t get around to doing this one.
-Win NaBloPoMo=Technically, yes. I did this. But given the fact that I had to queue some posts to do it (which is kinda cheating) I don’t think I’ll be doing it again. You can see here for a little while (I’m not too proud of it, and I’m going to delete it soon.)
-Win Camp NaNoWriMo=Not even close on this one…

I didn’t manage to complete everything, but I think that since I completed more than half, it can be counted as a success. 8 months ago

.What a month...

I know I’m a bit late and I have a lot to catch up on. Rounding up this goal and summing up what has been achieved last month is a good way to start.

Action:
- I ran the 8 K in Cologne
- Did more than 70 km of running during this whole month
- Swam a bit here and there
- Biked a little
- Got many chores done
- The garden looks great
- Took care of a few duties…

Adventure:
- Vacation!!! I did my best to let the kids have a great time with many outings here and there, picknicks and visits and fun things to do. One big adventure!
- I saw N again and a few other friends
- Read more in this month than in all the months before this year
- Meditating was great
- Tried out a few new things

Tucking in my daughter, we talked about her vacation and it was then that I realized all that had happened in these past few weeks and what has been achieved. It was nice to be off for this long and to live differently and it would be great to keep this up during the usual school/work days in the following weeks at least a little bit. 8 months ago

MyImaginaryWorldWow.

So, it’s been an interesting month.

My family decided to spiral down into chaos and I chose to work and exercise to ignore them all =) Healthy I’m sure =P

being fit and healthy is always on my list and this month I’ve done another step to making a greater impact on my life.

OH! And I have some adventure too! Well, adventure for me. I asked someone out. Yes, happily single me asked out my very funny and cute coworker. He said yes and I made him blush a little. It was quite a funny scene really…and I’ve been bubbly about it since. ^ .^ 8 months ago

koibito_k8Final wrap up

This was my first bootcamp and honestly it was probably one of the more productive months I’ve had recently. Having something to work towards really made a difference in what I chose to do each day.

I achieved the majority of the things I set out to do and all in all it was a really great month.

Looking forward to September! 8 months ago

butohdancerFinal thoughts on August Bootcamp 2012

August was a good and yet challenging month.

Although we had plans to spend 10 days in Crete, we did not manage to go away. Still, A. and I, spent some time together and we went to two exhibitions. I also cooked a three-course meal; we hoped to have a candle-lit dinner under the stars on the terrace, but the weather did not allow us to do so, and we ended up at my mum’s dining room.

It’s really difficult seeing your partner in pain and not being able to do anything to make the pain go away. All I could do was to be there for him.

Many people take good health as a given. Enjoying good health is such a precious gift. This month has taught me that we should savour every single moment and that we should appreciate and be grateful for all positive things in our lives.

Towards the end of the month, I felt the need to spend sometime by myself, not focusing on goals, not being proactive or productive. As a result, I did not follow my fitness routine (gym/exercise/diet) and I did not complete my reading. Similarly, we have not made any progress with the interior decor (lighting and curtains).

September is going to be busy! 8 months ago

Ru ~ dig deeperA gusting of action and adventure

August has blown past and left a sunny (so far) September in its place. We weathered much liquid: plumbing problems, water park accidents, busy aquariums, and ferry boat schedules, but the month – although it sped by – was full of fun and catching up.

We did nearly all the things I’d been hoping to do – spent as much time possible outside on adventures (both day and night), filled journals and cameras and minds with memories. We visited family and friends and explored the Sunshine Coast, watched stars fall all night, played fun new games, discovered new trails, swam in new pools, played in new parks, read new books, saw a movie in the field, took out the camping gear again, lit beautiful fires, polished off entertainment seasons, and had twilight wanders. We played in the sun and puddle-danced in a violent thunderstorm. Isak has a wonderful scrapbook/diary he’s been keeping to remember the summer of 2012.

We also got a lot done, progress rather than just maintenance: we dug into the garage and made a decent dent there, cleaned rooms, donated boxes of stuff, recycled carloads, upped our mobility (overhauled the car/tires, got a new stroller, fixed up the bike -some of us even learned to walk upright). I’ve bookcrossed a stack of books for the memorial project, I’ve even caught up somewhat on my entries (not as much as I’d like, but I’m trying) and school shopping was completed last week.

I’m feeling good about August, though still a bit shocked that the calendar has flipped again. Onward to September as the summer dwindles – may the fading be as slow as snails. 8 months ago
