This is a never ending Saga!!! 3 years ago

I’m pretty securely down into a “normal BMI” for my height, so I’m counting it as done. If I really slip up and top 155 again, I may revisit this goal.

Noticing an ugly trend here, hmmm... 3 years ago

I’m back UP, yet again. 153 today

I lose and gain and then start all over.

Okay, so I know what DOESN’T work for me…

Running as my sole form of exercise

Eating too many carbs and sweets

Not logging my food each day

Gotta do better!

getting a little thinner, surprisingly quickly... weird 3 years ago

I got too sick to keep any food down for a full 24 hours last week (I DO NOT recommend this!). I’d resumed running and working out before and after that, and just haven’t felt like eating anything much since then.

I’m actually down to 149 now! Still not as firmed up (especially in my middle) as I’d like to be, but I feel like I’m on my way now.

So terribly unfair! 3 years ago

To be able to GAIN flab so quickly and yet lose it soooooo SLOWLY! If I cease running regularly for about two (which I’ve done!) weeks I start getting all puffy and jiggly again! However I think it may take longer than two weeks to repair the damage done. Wah!!!! I really wanted to have a thinnish body for the trip to Florida over Christmas. Oh well…

The good news is I've lost six pounds in two weeks 3 years ago

The bad news is I’ve developed a jelly belly and I feel “bigger.” Not running for two weeks has caused my muscles to start to atrophy a bit maybe. Now that my calf is better I’ve gotta get back on the ball! I don’t mind weighing more, if I feel and look better…

I was starved at the drugstore earlier 3 years ago

and actually PICKED UP and CARRIED AROUND a Reese’s Cookie package (SO yummy!). Well somehow I found the strength to put that evil temptation down and leave it there. Whew! I came home and had a huge glass of carrot juice for supper instead. It’s amazingly filling and satisfying. I’m feeling pretty durn proud about now…. :-)

I should never have brought that pecan pie home! 3 years ago

My sister makes the yummiest pecan pies. There was one left on Thanksgiving and I took it home. So…. Guess what I’ve had for breakfast and some snacks, already? Well, pecans have protein, right?

I think I need to start logging my food again… eeep!

Want to make Hubby proud of my looks... 3 years ago

AND I want to make certain other women eat their unkind hearts out when they see me thin, with a small waist. Is this petty and small-minded? I don’t know, but I do know I’ll enjoy the heck out of it when I can tuck my shirts into my non-tight waistband and they can’t, so nanny-nanny-boo-boo to them!

So, anyhooo… That’s why I’m going to try to be SO careful about what and how much I eat this next month or so, AND get to the gym to firm up and reduce my upper bady some.

Very bad week nutritionally! 3 years ago

I actually ate chips and dip (more than once)and had a McDonald’s Happy meal! I almost never have any trouble resisting that greasy high-fat stuff (although sweets and chocolate are often a struggle for me). Very weird. I also had way too much to drink on Saturday at a costume party…. never had jello shots before and I ate, like, six in a row. I also had two big glasses of this green punch that supposedly had everclear in it, but it went down deceptively easily. I feel like I’ve been paying for that all week with sluggishness, fatigue and the blues. Somebody remind me not to drink that much again! I think I owe my body an apology and some really good food this next week!

Don't know what I weigh, BUT 3 years ago

my clothes are fitting a little more loosely and my “spare tire” has gone from a big old Good Year to a bicycle inner-tube! I just made some small changes like avoiding sauces and butter, water instead of pop, portion control, eating lots of fruit and vegetables (which I tend to carry with me and to keep handy). And of course, lots and lots of running, as usual. Now I need to firm up a little around the middle.
