finnofsummerreally need this

I’m thinking about going jogging in the morning and I think of that as meditation of a sort. The days I don’t run, maybe I’ll try to sit outside for 5 minutes in the early morning and meditate. I’m mostly trying to calm my emotions down and not react so quickly to people’s attitudes and actions. And to not be so frustrated and to slow my mind down a bit. 1 week ago

SwamptailI got off easy.

This is extremely easy if the gods you are working with want you to visit them everyday. :3

MariaNeed clear mind

It’s the first time I’m trying meditation. I know it’s hard to cotrol your mind so I will start real small.
2 minutes every day.
Breathing and thinking nothing.
When I manage not to think for 2 minutes I’ll increase the time. 1 month ago

meditation is such a great tool. I don’t know why I don’t do it. It’s like exercise and reading, I know it’s good for me, but for some reason avoid it. 1 month ago

memeplexiaHeadspace

There is a great iOS app called Headspace that lets you meditate at first for 10 min a day. That’s all you need to get started! 2 months ago

LightUnderneathFocusing

I am in desperate need of the ability to focus and know I’ve got to start finding time to meditate. I have problems keeping anything to a schedule, would this help? I think morning would be the best time for this, to help get me centered to start my day. I’ve been sort of stressed the past few days and I just keep telling myself- and I guess it’s a start-

“Don’t forget to breathe.” 2 months ago

mvg_onlineI have been meditating twice daily for seven months and it has changed my life

I made a commitment to meditate twice a day in August of 2012 and my whole life has turned around. I am happier, more outgoing, I give more of my time to others and I like who I am becoming. It is truly a transformational activity that allows our true self to display itself to the world.

I practice centering prayer, which you can learn about at the Contemplative Outreach website.

http://www.contemplativeoutreach.org/

And I recently started using an iPad/iPhone app that keeps track of my meditation times. It’s called Insight Timer. You can learn about it at this website

https://insighttimer.com/

I’m sure there are many other ways to do this, but whatever method you use, you will be rewarded. This is definitely worth doing.

It is helpful if you have a group to support you in your practice, so check out local groups in your area.

Peace and Blessings. 2 months ago

LaNouvelleHeloisePast/Present

Last night’s visualization was a little disconcerting, as it had me encountering my future self as well as returning to my past. Still, it was oddly entrancing, and I will return to it soon. 2 months ago
