The walking to work and back is why I need to get myself some music (i.e. an iPod) to keep me going, but the walk into work wakes me up. I find I can concentrate better, cope with stressful situations, handle people better, and I feel healthier.

The walk home is harder, and colder in the bad weather but home is 10 times more welcoming when I make it. DInner can have extra cheese as well. Its is less likely to happen as many people drive in along my road so I am more likely to get lifts.

It’s been a couple of weeks now and I’m pretty confident that I’ll keep this up. All up this means I’m walking 18 km to and from work each week, which is pretty good going, and truthfully it is probably going to be more like 4 times a week.

Of course, with winter coming on I’ll be relying on the weather to co-operate with me!

I adore walking to and from work and often pick my joe jobs (when I need them) based on whether or not I can.

I am now regularly walking to work. Don’t seem to be losing any weight but at least I am not putting any on either.

Week seventeen passed a little while ago, and I made my goal! Twelve consecutive weeks of walking to or from work at least three times. I’m really happy with how this walk has become an enjoyable part of my routine.

And I got my pink iPod Mini! I love it, and have been listening to audiobooks galore.

I am so ready to check off this goal. Walking to work has become an attractive, enjoyable way to commute—it has improved my mood on more than one occasion, and given me great exercise. I also feel more connected to the city.

Three walks this week again – the weather is getting warmer! Wednesday I walked without even wearing a coat.

But more importantly, I have decided on the PINK iPod Mini.

Only four more weeks to wait!

Let’s get this show on the road! Three weeks of minimum walking = move than halfway to my goal. Spring’s around the corner. And I think I’ve decided on the iPod Mini.

Three steps forward, two steps back.

Another unusual week in that I was only at the office for one day. And I did walk that day. But no other days. I feel like I should dock myself an extra week, since I could have walked in the mornings when I wasn’t in the office. So, bye-bye progress.
