I started moving from just 30 minutes per workout to aiming for 5k each time, even if it’s just a combination of walking and running. Yesterday, I just did a walk aiming for 5k, on an incline of 2.5, just to see what 5k feels like. I did it in an hour, so here’s hoping my run in 2010 will be less than an hour. That’s my goal anyway. It feels great doing some goal setting! 5k in 2010, here I come!

heshta going to start making dinner.
I signed my daughter up for Girls on the Run again. We completed a 5K in May, but this fall we both hope to run more than walk. She asked me if I will be able to keep up with her, and I told her I’m working on it! =)

I’m still on cycles of 2:20, but got so tired by 23:00, that I just walked from 23:00 to 25:00. Monday is another day!

I’ve increased the cycles to 2:20. I’m feeling better and not running out of steam as easily as before. I feel I’m needing less water as the run goes on as well. My concern is my form, and I’m needing some help in this area.
I’ll stay at 2:20 for 2 more runs, then move up to 2:30.

I was out of breath running 3:00 straight so I went back to 2:00 and I’m planning to work my way up in increments of :10. Today was day 1 of the gradual build-up to 30:00.

Do you ever notice that you run better when you don’t mind the time or distance, but just focus on what’s ahead?
