Um, I don’t remember the week, and I resolve to start taking notes. Yeah, right. But I did clean out the fridge and clean up the mess that caused. I got some errands done and bought healthy food. I didn’t finish cleaning out the car when I planned due to the weather.
I feel like I had a productive week, but them I look around here and realize how much more I have to go. 2 months ago
First day out went well. Soooo not motivated to start, but I turned on some music and went to the kitchen. I was so in the groove that I didn’t stop when the timer went off and did a few minutes extra.
It’s amazing how little difference 30+ minutes made in there, though. 2 months ago
Well, this is really a catch-all goal. I need to do a lot if I’m ever going to be ready, and I’m stuck in inertia. (No particular order!)
- Clean the garage
- Clean my bathroom
- Clean the kids’ bathroom (for the non-pet-parents, I do indeed know that they’re of the feline persuasion) (and yes, they have their own bathroom)
- Clean the kitchen
- Demolish/redo the downstairs bathroom (yeah, there are three bathrooms in my two-bedroom house)
- Shred old bills
- Clean out the fridge
- Clean out the freezer
- Declutter all the mail
This is all I can think of right now. My goal is to spend 30 minutes a day on one of the above goals, no excuses. And the goals may say “clean,” which to me means soap and water but not the decluttering bit that comes before, but “clean” here includes getting rid of old shampoo bottles and getting contact lens packages ready for recycle and taking the cardboard across town to the cardboard recycling place since they won’t pick it up here and actual scrubbing and stoofs like that.
Okay, I’ll excuse headaches, because really, moving during one of my headaches will lead to throwing up, which will lead to more cleaning and more headaches. 2 months ago
God I have an awful, difficult essay in for 4 days time… I can’t seem to work without the tele on! I need to plan properly and man up to get my work done so I’ve decided:
-put chilled music on
-time manage work, have TV/food breaks
I need the motivation though, hopefully I can find that somewhere..
By ten o’clock tonight, I need to have completed a plan, introduction and paragraph of my essay..ergh.. 3 months ago
I’m really happy that my first day of the year was productive. Since it was snowing all day I decided to read some teaching books so that I could improve on my teaching. I read 2 books and took good notes. Hoping I could apply what I read into the classroom. After reading, I started working on my first vision board. I’m not done with it yet but well it’s 2an so I should probably go to bed lol. Oh and today I bought chicago bulls tickets. I will finally be going to my first game this weekend. 3 months ago
So I decided I have an awful TV addiction, whenever I am doing something like tidying or even working, I have to have the tele on in the background (mostly Friends or Scrubs, gotta love it). So I searched how to beat it, and the internet suggested a ‘Job Jar’. You write down all the little jobs you wish you could do, for example, I want to sort out my cupboard, do the ironing and scan some photos for my boyfriend, put them in a jar and pick one each evening-they should only take up to an hour and you will feel more productive! 3 months ago
I received a compliment today from my boss for being “very efficient,” which made me pretty excited. Sometimes I feel like work is the only place that I actually get anything done. I need to learn how to apply the work ethic that I obviously have to other things, like homework and projects I’m working on. 4 months ago
